my parents or sister would take my dogs. If that didn't work out, my two friends from work would definitely take them. as for what happens when people suddenly die and have no family to take their dogs. They usually get brought to the shelter. There are countless animals there whose owners have passed away and the animal was left alone in the apartment, only to then be brought to the shelter. A lot of times people feel bad for them and will adopt but sometimes they get put to sleep. With our little yorkies tho, i have no doubt that if they went to a shelter they would either get picked up by a rescue or quickly adopted out because everyone wants a little dog and there is a short supply of them in the shelters (despite what you see on petfinder). i know the shelters i worked at always usually had big dogs and whenever we got a small dog in, it was usually adopted right after its 7 day waiting period. |
Last year I had several surgeries. I am a single parent, and disabled. I am aready trying to find a YT member who is close to where I live that will help me with Suzi, in case i have to go back to the Hospital. I had not thought about dying though. :thumbdown I have family who are dog lovers, but they live far away. My teenaged son is very close to our puppy. Whoever takes care of him, will hopefully take my Suzi too. But, that is only if I die. which i am not planning on doing! It is always a good idea to have a plan in case something happens. I want my beloved Suzi to go to a wonderful, loving home too. :aimeeyork |
