Wearing clothes How often do u put your little furbaby in clothes? I seem to only put Bailey in them when we go out but its gettin less and less as he has his harness on? do u leave them on them around the house (the clothes not the harness:p) aw i really want Bailey to wear his clothes more am gonna have to start putting them on him more even if it is just for my eyes :D:D |
I put them on about once a week now since its summer. In the winter I put hoodies on them more often. When I put them on they wear them all day and then I take them off before they go to bed |

Deegan wears clothes more often in the winter and when the temperture isn't to hot. He has clothes that he wears if it's nice out (and he won't be too hot), or when we are having a bon-fire during the spring/summer. But he mostly wears his clothes during the chillier months. |
I put clothes on Gypsy when we are having company over or special occasions. |
Pretty much just special occasions. But once in a while Sapphire wears something for the day. |
I usually put clothes on Romeo when its too cold outside and we are going for a walk. Also when I take him over my dad/parents in law homes so they can adore his little outfits;) |

Mine wear them more when it is cold out.. or since we keep the house pretty cool in the winter.. they wear them then. Or when the grandkids come over.. they like to dress them up. If we are going somewhere and it isn't too hot out, they wear them also. |

Captain Jack goes to work with me everyday, so he wears clothes quite a bit. I also like to put cute (manly) bows in his hair....not that he has enough hair for bows! I am trying to get him used to them for when his hair grows out!:D |
I have so many hanging in their closet, but it's just too hot here in Az....Waiting for the winter though so we can take walks in the park with matching outfits !!! :eek: |

only when its cold.. it would be unnecessary in my opinion to make princess wear clothes when its hot out.. like today even though its summer its rainy and cold.. so she has a tshirt on :) when its super cold she will wear her sweaters :) |
It's extremely hot here too but my two don't get any hotter with their clothes on. Actually, I feel like them wearing something helps to protect them from the sun, especially Lacy as she is jet black on her back and that really attracts the sun's rays. GW Little just came out with an article today about dogs getting sunburned and how a t-shirt can help protect them. I also dress Lacy because she's itchy in the summer and wearing clothes stops her from scratching herself for the most part. Of course, I do mostly dress them just because I want to and enjoy it :) |
I have Bentley wear a sweater as we keep the house pretty cool during the summer and he has a pretty short hair cut on his body. He gets cold easily. Poor guy gets the tremmors and his ears are cold... A simple knit sweater we got from a friend does the trick. :-) |
I must be one of the few Yorkie owners who does not dress up her furball. I got my first Yorkie years ago (way before the internet) and before they became so popular. The only time I put "clothes" on my dogs was when it snowed. The Yorkie I have now only gets a sweater on if the weather warrants it. Dressing up dogs just never became something that interested me. Oh well, I must march to the tune of a different drummer.:) |
I hardly ever dress Pixie to be honest..she has a long coat which is lovely so it seems a shame to hide it! In the winter she has jumpers and coats..but thats about it really..might get her some cute PJ's for the winter though.. |

Layla rarely wears clothes when we're just chilling out at home. If it's a cool day sometimes she'll wear a sweater. She never wears clothes when she's home by herself because so many times she'll lay down and roll around and get one arm stuck inside the shirt while the other is still in the arm hole and she can't walk... lol my baby knows how to mess herself up. Sometimes when I'm with a bunch of friends or family I'll dress her up because it's cute and everyone loves it :) |
All 3 wear Clothes I have an extensive Wardrobe for all 3 of mine, they are all usually color coordinated in matching outfits. All 3 have long full coats so during the Summer when it's too hot to wear them they don't get Dressed at all unless we are going to a Party or Event where they will be Paraded around, they like to get Dressed and Show off! They usually match what I am wearing too. I usually Dress them every day during the Fall/Spring when it's cooler and definitely in the Winter when it's very Cold for them, I even have full bodied Ski Suits and if that's not enough I put velour sweats under them. I figure if I'm cold so are they? I get laughed at alot for having dogs w/clothes on, but I put up w/it since I know they are warmer with them on than without them. So I would say every day except for Summer time. |
I only put clothes on Abby and Daisy in the summer when we go somewhere. In the winter though, I dress them just about everyday. Abby gets so hot when we go outside, even in the shade. I know if she was dressed, she'd really heat up. They usually have a bow in their topknot though :D |

I dress Jazzie when we are at home, she seems to enjoy dressing up and I love looking at her wearing the cute dresses made by Fufufashions, ChloeBella, Tinkerbells closet ORRR made by Me (Jazzie's InsPAWrations!). Jazzie has long hair so when we go outside for a brief walk I have to take the dress off. She also dresses up for company, outings. Zander likes dressing up too, he is so ready to get his head through the head opening, lol, the vests that I have made for him seem to have met his approval as well :D |

I dress my 2 just about every day. They both have a ton of clothes to wear and I want them to get some use out of it. I think using the D-ring attached to their dresses and vests makes it easier when taking them out. :) |
