Finally Justice for Jinny
 

The boxer attacked again. Everyone told me it would. It attacked a shih tzu down the road that was tied up. It broke its jaw and foot before the owner heard it ran out shot and killed the boxer. I stopped by to thank him and found out the Boxer owners are thinking of pressing charges agaisnt him. I told him if he needed any help in court I am there.

I am so glad the shih tzu will be ok.

Wow----I must say that I would hope that could not make it to court.

Any sane person would see they were justified in shooting the boxer.

This is a nightmare .... I hope the guy with the Boxer goes to Court ..... you guys need to do something about that owner ....

OMG I dont know the back story that goes with this so I assume the shoot to kill was justified but I am glad the shih tzu will be ok.

It is too bad it had to come to the killing of a dog, however, the dog was dangerous, and attacking. This is what happens, the owner was protecting his dog , family. :thumbup: Cant say I blame him. Looks like it was justified, i can't see it going to far in the court system.

Irresponsible dog owner. Everyone is sue happy even when they know they are in the wrong. If they loved their doggie so much that they want to sue for his death why didn't they keep him safe to begin with?:mad: Joanne

I am just saddened that any dog has to be killed because of how his humans raised/trained him.
I am also equally glad the little ones will now be safe in thier neighborhood.
Best wishes to the gentleman who is now facing charges for saving a pets life. I hope the courts will see he was right.

So sad that an irresponsible owner caused injures to others pets and them gets his dog killed because he ddin't train or contain him properly. I hope the little shih tzu is ok.

The owner should have been shot. Disgusting your local humane and police didn't do a damn thing when your baby was attacked. Matter of fact the shih tzu owner should be suing the boxers owner for the vet bills and stress.

Good for the Shih Tzu owner! I can't imagine the terror the little dog & owner had to go thru-Let them try & sue-they won't win!!!!!

Oh Melissa, this whole thing is such a needless tragedy! At least your community is safe from this improperly treated Boxer. Hugs :hug:

How sad! I hope the Shih Tzu is ok. I think the owner had every right to shoot the dog. I also agree that the Boxer's owners should be made to pay her medical bills. Now maybe everyone in your neighborhood will think twice about letting a dog run loose. We have leash laws where I live and not many will abide by them.

I wanted to say I have nothing agaisnt boxers. My brother has one that is a wonderful dog. This was an unaltered male that was left to run free.

well the neighborhood needs to press charges against the boxer owner for terrifying their family and pet! jmo!

Melissa, from meeting you and our phone conversations, I know you are the type of person who doesn't make blanket judgements against people or dogs. I am just so very sad that this whole incident took place, Jinny was a precious soul and her loss goes beyond tragic. :(

It is the owners in this case that were the monsters, not the dog - had the Boxer been properly trained and cared for none of this would have happened.

That must be one mean dog. It just kept attacking others. RIP Jinny. I'm glad to hear the little shih-tsu will be ok. No little dog should have to worry about being attacked in their own yard.:(

It's so sad that people don't train their dogs properly..they better not press charges because it'll all come back to them..I feel sad for all the pups involved. :(

Given the circumstances I'm not sure the owners have any legal grounds. It's sad...the entire affair...sad for Jinny, shihzu, and the boxer.

Good for him! Too bad that the dog had to pay the price because he had an irresponsible owner. I don't think the boxer's owner has much chance in court. His dog was loose, it had a history of being mean, and the other dog's owner was protecting his own property on his own property. I'm glad the dog that was attacked will be OK.

I believe it is legal to protect your property in any state. Especially if you fear for someone's life.

What a sad situation. :( I just don't understand how people can not care for their animals correctly but the second something happens to them and they may be able to get money they care.

good reason to own and know how to use a gun.. if there are dangerous dogs..they need to be stopped.. too bad the owners cant pay the price instead of the innocent animals..no justice for this situation..:(

if they sue.. then countersue for your dog and for the anguish caused to yourself for being forced to kill the bulldog:animal-pa

I don't understand the owners of this boxer - they will spend time going to court, but they won't spend time training their dog and keeping him contained in their own yard :confused:

I am so sorry another dog has been harmed by this boxer who missed out on the proper training. Praying she heals quickly

This reminds me of a situation we have here at home. Although much less of a problem.
We have a neighbor who has a boxer/rot mix. His name is Bud. I love Bud, he's a sweet boy, but I don't want him around my girls! I'm so afraid that Daisy will nip at him and he will instictivly turn on her and hurt her or worse.
Our neighbor, who is a friend of my husbands' says he tries to keep him in his yard, but Buddy ends up over here all the time!
I've taken Buddy back home several times, hubby had taken him home several times and everytime we talk to the owner and ask him to PLEASE keep Buddy in his yard. The next day Buddy is back.

The other day hubby took Buddy back and knocked on the back door and said, "does he belong to you?" (jokingly) the neighbor replied, "was her in your yard again?" Hubby said, "Yes, just as Tammy was bring Abby and Daisy out and it scares her!" Neighbor says, "shoot him" :confused: Can you believe that?
Hubby said, "Nope, I think I'll just shoot you" Good Grief! Just shoot him. :mad: Poor Buddy hasn't done anything wrong and we will not shoot him, unless we are confronted with what the shi tzu's owner was...even then I wouldn't...I don't have a gun anyway..

I'm glad to hear that the little Shi tzu will be OK. I was just thinking about Jinny the other day :hug:

Sorry to hear abou the shih tzu but honestly if any sueing is to be done it should be to the owners of the boxer for vet bills.

wow...sorry that this had to happen....but i think you and all the neighborhood who were victimized should take that boxer owner to court for damages!!!! And to think he wants to sue when his boxer was running loose in the neighborhand and the poor shiz tu was contained in his own yard!!!:mad: I feel sorry for the boxer who had to be killed due to some dumb owners, who obviously had no clue how to socialize and train their dog to not be a menace to the neighborhood thus resulting in the dogs demise!!! Sad:(
