Zoie use to want to play fetch before she would have her morning meal. She would play and work up some slides on the kitchen floor and hall back to give the ball to me. She loves that little soccer ball. Now sometimes she likes to run down the hall and fetch but she doesn't always bring it back to you to reach. She will make you lean over and get the ball. She is smart she wants to make sure I get my excerise as well. |
All four of mine want to play fetch all the time. I have to take the toys away and play individually or sometimes with just two at a time. They get so possessive of the toy and will not share at all, sometimes they get angry with each other. But we all do enjoy a good game of fetch. |

Yep, count Abigail among those ensnared in the frenzy of fetchaholicism(?) She will bring her favorite toy of the week, lay it at your feet, and sit back to wait your reaction. If you do not react correctly (pick up said toy and throw it), she will put the toy ON you somewhere. "Oh, maybe she didn't see it"....lol until her subject is worn down to do her bidding. |
My 11 m/o girl (Little Bit....Bitty for short) taught me to play fetch at 9 months. She has a stuffed Tootsie Roll squeaky that is the favorite. It's about worn out so I ordered 6 more.:D |
Trixie is definately a nuerotic fan of fetch. I actually have to MAKE her stop and rest. She will be out of breath and tired, but she will not let a thrown toy go without bringing it back to you. |
Cassiopia is almost 7 months old and she is a fetchaholic as well. My husband and I would sometimes play "monkey in the middle with her". Of course she's the monkey!:tongue5: |
fetch Binky and Fergie love to play fetch.Fergie is the fetcher abd Binky is her cheerleader.Binky won'ttouch the ball but she gets real excited when Fergie runs with it. TOO CUTE |
Oh, yes! Muffin would play and play and play. Now, Kacee doesn't go as long with playing fetch as Muffin did, but Kacee replaces that with all of the walks she can talk me into!:D |
Sophie loves to play fetch. She won't give it back to me though. I have to trade another toy with her to get the original toy back. She's a snob ;) She also tried to get me to play in the middle of the night last night. I ignored her and went back to bed. Then she rubbed the toy in my face while I tried to sleep. What a goof! |
So, just curious... Quote:

FA (Fetchaholics Anonymous) Hmmmmm, maybe we need to have an FA (Fetchaholics Anonymous) social group. A support system for those whose babies are addicted to the game of fetch? :animal37 Does anyone know how we would do that? |

It's not that I thought yorkies weren't playful, it's just all of the goldens and labs I had growing up didn't even like to play fetch this much! My grandma's female yorkie never played fetch or anything so I guess I didn't think about it, and none of our friend's yorkies play fetch. I thought my dogs were abnormal, but now I know they're not :p |
Bailey likes to play. Its playtime whenever we go to another room. She's not obsessed with ketch. But, she does love it. Does anyone else's Yorkie get her fur in her teeth after retrieving a toy? It is so cute watching her get the fur out once she has the toy securely in her paws.:animal-pa |

KiKi loves to play fetch...she will play fetch with a few of her toys, but she has one she play with only on the bed...a cloth ball with a circle ring on it...everynight at (my) bedtime I take KiKi into bed with me and we play fetch on the bed for about 30 -40 minutes straight...of course she wants to play tug-of -war when she brings it back...she loves this and now it is a nightly routine (not going to be good though when I go away for 2 wks - wonder if the kids will mind doing this with her in my place LOL) |
