You guys were right about her flag away if you want to. I just thought I would give her the benefit of the doubt first. I e-mailed her from one of my e-mails and asked to come and see him and she said her was sold, so I e-mailed her from another e-mail and she said he was available and asked me the same questions she asked the very first time I e-mailed same spelling and everything. So I requested a picture and she said she had one she would send me if I told her a little about myself so I told her I lived alone in VA and I had 1 pet bird, and I have a cousin in MI that can come pick him up tomorrow and now she doesn't have a picture and he is sold again. So I made a new e-mail account and sent her another e-mail and guess what, he is available again and she asked the exact same questions as the last 3 e-mails I sent her...she made me so mad I keep flagging her ad every few minutes!!! |

Before I found YT, and learned of the best ways to find a breeder, I answered an ad, in my regular paper, it gave an e-mail address and I had never even heard of this type of scam before. I got an e-mail back saying the person only wanted $500.00 for a Yorkie and she was moving and had to get rid of it. My daughter-in-law was much more savvy in this sort of thing, and knew right away it was a scam. One of the biggest signs is that they want you to wire money, and they will never let you see the dog. Thank goodness, for YT because I know so many people have saved a bundle for not falling for these things, and with threads like this, we will continue to teach people to be very cautious. |
