Melissa, Great news! I hope my advice helped at least a little bit. That's one important thing to remember about us guys. No matter how much we may act like we don't, most of us want to be involved in the decision making. We want to know that our opinions matter. Deep down, most of us know that the ladies in our lives have our best interests at heart and most of what you guys ask for or ask us to do or whatever, makes us happier, better men in the long run. Still, we hate to be treated like children or have something imposed on us. Asking our opinions goes a long way with most of us, even if things don't go our way. Maybe if my ex had ever learned that lesson, I'd still be married! Oh well, truth be told, I'm certain there are lessons I learned too late as well. I'll definitely be ready if there's ever a next time though, assuming she loves my little guys of course. - Byron |
I would get the puppy |
I would getthe puppy now that he is on board. It's nice to get the male perspective, Byron!!! You need to post more often! |
Looks like you and your darling BF can work this out:D Tino has beautiful offspring . I would have been tempted to keep at least a few too. They are gorgeous . Puppy will be so much fun for you guys. Best wishes to the both of you! :aimeeyork |
.... definitely PUPPY .... :D |
I have 5 yorkies. One of them is an offspring (and 1st born :p) of one of my males, Taz. I wouldn't say TJ (Taz Jr) is my favorite, but he definitely holds a special place in my heart, after all, he is my GRANDDOG! :D:D Get the puppy, you won't be sorry.;) |
heck yes potl :) Quote:
easy answer for pick of the litter.. poor lonely one dog home you need 2.. cuz dogs r pack animals balanced happy dogs are pairs:aimeeyork |
Do I even have to answer... lol PUPPY!!! :yay_jump: |
well... say something like... "I have baby fever.. so it's a baby puppy or a baby HUMAN!" that is how I got leo... ha ha |
I would go with the puppy if s/he steals your heart; you can always raise another stud fee, if you need extra $$$ right? |

That is absolutely HILARIOUS!!!! UPDATE* I met with the woman last night and we may be leaning toward a stud fee after all. I wasn't aware of the fact that this is her dog's first litter so we are unsure what the "average" litter would be, she may only have one and then I would get the stud fee anyway after getting all excited about getting the pup. I don't know we kind of left it up in the air. I will be recieving the female on Sunday and that is when we will sign all the papers and finalize payment. I am kindof upset:( I really want one of Tino's offspring, especially now that I have Nic on board! I don't know, I guess it is bound to happen some day~ (Too bad I want that day to be TODAY!) LOL. |
Melissa, I am so very happy that you toke the advice of the fella who replied to your thread and really had a two way discussion (well almost :D) with the bf. I congratulate you on the new addition to your family! |
I say go for the pup. You can always get another BF. LOL |

Update* UPDATE --Once again So apparently there won't be any puppy making after all. The woman could not get her little one in to the vet in time to get her cleared for brucellous and cytology , so there won't be any breeding with this little one until her next heat =( :thumbdown Thank you all for your opinions on the matter. I definately would have went for the puppy! Thank YT Talkers!;) |
In all honesty, I'd have to say it would have to be a joint decision on both my husband and I's part. If he wasn't for another furkid and I knew his heart wasn't totally and completely in it 110%, then I couldn't do it. It wouldn't be fair to my husband or to the pup. When you bring the pup into the house, you want it to be loved by both the Mom and Dad, not just by you. Why take a chance and "hope" he may fall head over heals in love with another one? What if it backfires and he really never cares for him and wants nothing to do with the pup? You'd feel bad and he'd probably have feelings of resentment like perhaps his feeling didn't matter enough? My suggestion is, talk to your boyfriend and ask what his reasons are for feeling the way he does, if they are real concerns for him, they should be for you as well. I know it's really hard to say no to a new puppy, but I think having a strained relationship would be a lot harder. Best of luck to you. |
Oops, sorry, I should have read through the entire list of posts and replies before responding. Well, at least now you don't have to worry about making this choice now;) |

Your little Onit is out there, I'm sure things will fall into place when the time is right. This must have been how it was meant to be for now. :) Keep us updated on any future Onit possibilities! ;):D |

 Without thinking about it twice, I would say-Go for the Puppy, unfortunately, things are not that easy.Something that my mom always says, and still now, I hate to hear: -Prioritize That will help make the right decision. Good luck |
Congrats! They look a lot alike! You can see the family resemblance! |
HAHA! Tino is on schedule with another Little one named Zoe for next wednesday. This other woman called me this morning to inform me that her little gal had gone into heat. So Tino will still get some luvin after all LOL! He likes the ladies~ |
