I didn't know about the hydrogen peroxide either. Thanks. |
Paulette, I'm so glad that Derby is OK. These little ones are so fast and will gobble up anything they find, won't they? You're a good Mama :) |
Paulette I am glad that Derby puked up all the vitamins and in your case this command I learned in clicker training would not work. It's a good thing to teach your puppy/dog the command "leave it". I had to teach Izzy that command so that when we do our therapy visits if something fell on the floor I just have to say leave it and she backs off. You are a very good furbutt mommy!:D |
Awwww! Poor derby. I'm glad he's ok. |

Yes, thank you. Derby has learned "leave it" and you are right, had I seen what had happened I could have used it but unfortunately I didn't even know about the pills until it was too late.:( Poor little guy, it killed me to see him convulsing so much to puke it all up....his entire dinner too. But I think that was good that he had eaten because it slowed down the pills from getting into his system... they were all natural but I just couldn\'t be sure that he wouldn\'t have a reaction to them. Phew is right. |
I\'m so glad it turned out OK. I do the over the drawer thing to take pills. I also have mine trained to leave it. With the new ones Darla and Spanky I\'m putting down a square of cheese and saying leave it. If they even get near ot they get a spray with the water bottle. It may take a few weeks before the leave it sticks. I can put steak on the floor and walk out of the room and my 7 will not touch it if I have said leave it. It is well worth the training effort. Darla and Spanky will get reinforcement training for about a month before I leave the room with the steak on the floor. |
I\'m glad it came up. I hope he\'ll be ok after that. How scary.:( |
