I have to confess and come clean Let me start off by saying please don't be mad about the first half of this thread but here it goes.........I reluctantly bought Roscoe as a birthday gift for my GF, reluctantly because I grew up with big dogs my entire life (dobermans and German shepards)........now that its out of the way I now realize the love and obsession you all feel for these bundles of love......I have never experienced a breed so loveable with such a wanting to just be with YOU...........I have fallen head over heels for Roscoe, even though I bought him for my GF he is MY BESTFRIEND.....I take him everywhere with me think of him constantly, show pictures of him to people.........these little furbabies are the greatest part of me and my girlfriends life.............I can not imagine what life was like without him..........we have gotten to the point were the two of us, instead of going out at night (which we used to do often), all we can think about is how quick we can get home to love roscoe............I could not be happier with the descision to get him and I thank you all for the support and all the questions ( lol sorry I know i am constantly posting new threads with question)............thank you and god bless you and your babies.......... yorkie aiddicts in RI:aimeeyork |
This is so nice to hear....you now see how they can become so addictive...they should come with a health warning!!!!LOL:D |
They steal your heart within seconds .... ;) |
Well, y'all will fit right in here:laugh: If I was rich, I'd probably have 12 yorkies:eek: |
1 Attachment(s) Now that your heart has been stolen by a Yorkie....you do know that it is almost necessary to collect some more don't you ?! ;) Debra TARA 8yrs CASPER 5+HALFyrs TAMMY 5yrs CORKY 5MONTHS !!!! |
I still sometimes catch myself staring at our two and thinking, "Who knew?" or "I had no idea." |
OMG I sooooooooooooooooooo feel ya on this one!!!! lol I've NEVER had a dog of any kind inside the house so when hubby said we could get a yorkie the kids and I were thrilled!!!! We've had Mufasa for about 4 weeks and it is PURE LOVE!!!!!!!!! We spoil him rotten and treat him like a baby!!! He has brought so much joy and love into our house that we take him wherever we go and can't wait to get home to see us. He gives us so much love in return so we are just one big happy family!!!!!! |
What a superb post!!! I know many of us here felt exactly like you. :) I also had big dogs, German Shepards and Chow Chows... how can something so small carry our hearts off so quickly??? Bless You!! ps...i'm surprised the "I need another one of these" bugs hasn't bitten you yet. :P |
You're GREAT!! My husband is as crazy about Annie and Sam as I am. You wouldn't know he bought them for ME as a birthday present! But remember...one is good, two are GREAT!!!;) |
Awww :) I know exactly what you mean and my husband is totally in love with our girls. |
I also love my babies.. and I don't know what I would do without them. The love in these little hearts just draws everyone to them. They steal your heart and you will never be the same. :) |
Yep - you definitely sound like you are owned by a Yorkie!!!!!!! It is so funny how many men totally fall for these lovable little gems. Just shows you are a caring individual and a man worth having!!!! |
That is so sweet!!! Their is nothing like a Yorkie!!! |
Awwwh this is so cute! Makes me want a Pebbles even more for my Bam Bam, My hubby adores my little guy even though he jokes around and says "you would make a great purse" lol . When we go to bed hes the first to call out Bam Bam lets go to bed!! We are owned by Yorkie. |
That's so funny. My Husband (then boyfriend) used to be embarrassed to walk Sterling until he realized what a "chick magnet" yorkies are. There's not a girl/woman around that can resist a Yorkie. Of course it's only a matter of time until they grow on the guys too. I think it's because Yorkies don't realize they're a small dog! |
I couldn't agree more, they certainly do know how to grab hold of our hearts! |
What a very sweet post! I totally agree and feel the same. On the weekends when it comes time to do anything for fun i always find thingsto do that we can take them with us! Or we usually stay home with them! :D The only people that seem to understand the love for them we have are "other yorkie owners!" :D Quote:

How Sweet! Yours is the kind of home I would like to find for all my new yorkie pups! |
tht is soooo true! I am so happy to be proudly "owned by yorkies".... besides being owned by two beautiful skin kids, my yorkies are the best thing in this world! I pity the people out there who dont understand..... d |
There's nothing like a yorkie...as we can all attest! Just be careful, at least at our house, they have a tendency to clone themselves! (That's the excuse I use when I look around and think, where did they all come from....LOL) |
I agree with you, yorkies are a wonderful breed. You will end up getting another one. We had just Sasha for 2 years and decided she needed a little sister! Roscoe is just a doll! :aimeeyork |
well it is always nice to know you are not alone... both my Husband and I are smitten with Mya.. I echo what you said about going out at night but instead wanting to come home to your little one, I would rather be home with Mya then out at a movie any night! They take your heart from the start, just wait it will only continue to grow and get stronger... so glad that you found love in your furbaby!!! hehehe |
We are the same way-in a hurry to come home to our babies, and to go to bed at night and let them climb in. Just wait until there is 2 or more-nothing gets done-that's for sure. :) |
Oh I agree with the op. Leo was my first yorkie, he came home June 7th, now he has a baby sister that was born July 8th waiting to come home.heheheheh |
How Sweet, that is so true, We took our little Maggie camping for 2 weeks and just got back, Just the other day my hubby was talking about every dime we spent on Maggie was worth every bit, He just loves her so much as I do. |

I know exactly how you feel. We are even selling out timeshare as I hate going on vacations anymore and leaving our fur babies. Instead we are thinking of buying a cabin somewhere so we can take then everytime we go. There is no where in the world I want to be other than with my fur babies!;) |
Hehe… I will be getting my yorkie soon, and my BF is just as excited as I am. He has two dogs of his own and had never seen a yorkie until he came to California.(or at least didn't know what a yorkie was?!?) I showed him a yorkie and he loved them. Now he keeps asking, "when are we going to pick her up!" :) |
I love this post :D. Guys try to be so manly about owning a Yorkie, and then before you know it, they're as in love as we women are ;). I've had Garrett since April, he was my b'day from hubby. Twice in the past week now, he's "casually" mentioned how nice it might be to get another one because it would be fun for Garrett . Hmmmmmm, I wont refuse another, so we'll see.......... |
