I Lost My Baby. I Am So Sad.
 
Today Sparky would have been 8 days old. He was born very tiny at just over 2 oz. He was very weak and did not suck efficiently so I had to bottle feed him around the clock. He continued not to gain weight. I took him many times to the vet throughout this process. Early in the morning he began crying and kept crying. I took him into the vet again and he told me that he had a very immature digestive system and he was not absorbing any nutrients. He was in critical condition and was having trouble breathing. Sparky died this morning. I am so sad:( My husband and son are out of town and are not within cell phone range. I am not looking forward to breaking the news. I am so sad.:(

Oh no!!! im sorry...how sad. lots of hugs for u. poor baby, at least he is not suffering any more. only time will heal ur pain.

I'm so sorry to hear this. I remember your thread in the breeders' forum. I had hoped all was well since I hadn't seen any updates the last few days. My heart goes out to you, Lily and especially to Sparky. Very sad news :(.

Awwwwwwwwww, Bless little Sparky.
He certainly was a wee little thing. What a fighter.
You were WONDERFUL and did all that was possible for him.
Sparky was loved deeply. Your tribute was very touching.

so sorry for your loss..i have been there...i cried for days...but look at it this way...you still have the other puppy and momma to take care of...that was what got me thru it all..hehe

I'm so sad for you :(

I remember when this happened to me with my golden retriever's pups...a little one that didn't make it. I cried so hard.......I hope the pain lessens soon.
