| Spits food out? Our yorkie is 5 months and will take his food and try to chew it and then spit it out. Then he will put it in his mouth again and do the same thing. This is a new food, Wellness and I am wondering if it is too hard for him? Any ideaS?+++ |

| The pieces of food may be too big for him to chew, that is the way my little dogs do if the food is to large they can't get a good bite on the food they will spit it out. Try putting it a bag or something and breaking it up a little into smaller pieces and see if he eats it. You may have to buy bags of smaller sized dog food.

| It might be too big, but...Gizmo is a food player. yes, I said that right...a food player. He HAS to throw it in the air, pounce on it and "kill" it before he eats it! yea, I know...men. They have to hunt their food I guess.

Donating YT 30K Club Member | He is probably having some loose teeth too that may make it harder for him to chew hard pieces.

| Funny, but true! lol Forgot about teething...yep, that will do it too. Unrelated, but a teething tip...we found out that Gizmo liked to play with ice cubes while he was teething. We put one on the floor and he had a treat and we had an ice hockey game to enjoy!
