| New Puppy? I have been considering getting another dog for a couple of years and am trying to decide between a yorkie and a maltese. My mom has a yorkie and absolutely adores it. I have a 3 year old maltese currently who is quite the little diva. I was wondering if anyone had gotten a second dog and how it worked out introducing a puppy to your older. Any opinions on yorkies or maltese would be greatly appreciated as I am having a very difficult time deciding between the two. Thanks! Courtney |

| Welcome to YT Welcome to YT. I introduced 2 eight week old Yorkies to two Lhasa-Poos. One was 16 and the other was 9. I had no problems. However, I imagine it depends on how your Maltese gets along with other dogs. Also, with the Maltese having been the only dog for three years, the introduction would have to be supervised for a period of time until they were used to one another. In other words until the Maltese realized that yes, the puppy was there to stay. Best of luck with your decision.

| Welcome to YT I think you would be very happy with a Yorkie . A maltese is a very beautiful dog too. But, having a yorkie has brought me such great happiness . Do research on the Yorkie Breed and find out all you can about them .You want to be certain that it's the dog you want . It was for me

Donating YT 1000 Club Member | I'm sure if you got to a maltese group they will say get a maltese. But here I think most are going to favor the YORKIE!
