RoxyJosMom | 07-10-2008 04:46 PM | Sure, I did at first. But thank God I have a conscience and the welfare of my babies is too important to me. I also knew I that if I had, I would be worse than devastated if I lost a puppy and I wouldn't be able to let any babies go anyway. Any dogs I had in the past that had puppies did it on their own. I knew I didn't have the knowledge to breed them the way it should be done. But, out of curiosity, I did some checking, researching and asking questions and discovered that the costs involved in breeding far exceeded any concept I had of them. So, the way I see it, an honest breeder does it for the love of the breed, not for the love of money. As much as I would love to have an endless supply of puppy breath, I'm glad I made the decision I did. |
