| How do they know? I have heard horror stories about peepee pad training puppies, because they don't learn to differentiate you telling them to go on the pad vs you telling them it's okay to go in the house. How do they know that they can only go on the pad? versus you telling them it's okay to go in the house? I have a designated closed off corner for her potty area now that is only puppypads like 2x2 sqft area...but I am worried she won't know to go outside or on those (when not confined by the pen). Did that make any sense? I want her to know to bark to go outside eventually, and I think we were making progress, but it's POURING outside and she hates wet grass so I thought this would be a good alternative for rainy days. Will she get confused? |

| I do have that problem with Shylah. I taught her to pee on the pee pad and outside, but the problem is she thinks the throw down rugs are pee pads too. At least I can wash those, but it is really annoying when it is nice outside and I have a doggy door, she can go out there. When there is rain or snow, I lay down the pee pads and she generally will use those, but I still have to watch out for the rugs. Fortunatly she pees very little!!!!!
