That woman really boils my butt. We just like to make a beautiful dog even more beautiful. If how things look mean nothing to her then tell her to stop coloring her candles and just leave them all white!! and while she's at it take out the scent. Well, I am a hot headed Italian and I would have told her to 'blow it up her (?). Actually, you don't have to justify yourself to the candle pusher. I hate those parties, and rarely attentd. You always feel as if you are pressured into buying at least one outrageously priced item. You make dog clothes because you enjoy it, it's income and we all want clothes!!!! forgetaboutit!!!! |

The next time you see her, simply ignore her. Disrespectful people like that need not be given the time of day. You've done well as far as I'm concerned. I have been half in tears and half laughing out loud at all of these posts! I am the luckiest person to be a member here! (I have not been able to get back on the internet until now because my DSL was acting up, so frustrating! What withdrawals!) I really appreciate all the positive comments. Sometimes YT feels like my own personal therapy group :D |
Ok, This woman is crazy, And so are you because you should never feel embarassed about something that you like to do, are really good at, and you make money on top of everything else.. You never have to beg people to let you have a party at their house, so you can find people who feel they have to buy something!! All your clients willingly come to you and pay you good money for a great product.. There is nothing you should ever feel embarassed about.. Even Mrs. Fields had to start somewhere.. And do you think she ever felt embarassed, when stupid people said things like" Gosh you sit home and bake cookies and then sell them!!!" SHe can be embarassed all the way to the bank.. You have a talent, kepp up the great work!! |

She's obviously not a dog lover! And who cares what she thinks - you make good money doing it and you enjoy it and people love that you can do it (because some of us can't)! I like what a few of the other girls have said... "I can make them in larger sizes" or "these dogs are better dressed than you are" or "I don't have to hound my friends about having parties they don't want to host" etc. Tons of good points! i wouldnt worry about it. i agree that you are wayyy better off in your business than she oviously is in her candle business! i recentally ordered a pink polkadot harness vest for maisy from your site..it got here a few days ago..she LOVES it!!! when i get some more money i might have to order some more!!! as for me personally, id rather buy dog clothes than a candle ANY time!! she sounds sort of desperate!! good luck and DONT be embarassed, be CONFIDENT in your business! |

Why would anyone go to a candle demonstration? Ever since my mom trusted me with fire at like age 8 I've been pretty good at it. Thats 20 years of advanced candle burning skills under my belt. Instead what we need is a little yorkie fashion show. Heck I'd PAY to go see all those cuties struttin thier stuff. |

That's so silly :thumbdown. Don't worry about her. You just carry your lil' yorkie, dressed it the best outfits and hold your head high!! I dress my Yorkie all the time (well in the winter - I live in CA and its over 100 now :cool:). I think most people get a kick out of seeing the little dogs dressed up. She is still stuck in candle world. That is so pass-a (sp). I have even heard of doggie parties where they sell clothes and items for dogs. |
