Thank you for posting. :) My BF has one for his two pups and it will be going in the trash. You may have saved a few people from the same experience. :) |
Wow! Thanks for the warning! I used to put one of my larger yorkies with my tiny chi to get her to walk better and never knew that it could hurt her!! I hope your little guy gets better quickly. |
I'm so sorry to hear about Little Andy, thank God you caught it when you did. I had no idea the double headed harnesses could cause this, thanks for posting and telling me about it cause I was considering getting one to walk Lil Miss Maggy May and our daughters chi (Luke) with. I won't be doing it now after reading this! Prayers going up for your lil one. |
Thank you for all the well wishes. Andy is walking normal again when I do let him out to go potty. Otherwise he stays in little kennel which he hates. He especially gets upset when stormy is in my lap trying to get me play with her. He is miserable and I hate it for him. |
I am so glad to hear that little Andy is walking normally again. Thank you for the update. |
I'm so sorry. You couldn't have known and I wouldn't have known, either. I know how scared you must have been. It's an awful feeling, isn't it? It sounds like your little guy will be ok and I'm so thankful for that. |
Oh my goodness! Poor little Andy...I feel so sorry for that baby but I sure am thankful and happy that he is ok. What a wonderful mommy you are for rushing him into the vet so quickly. Give him a gentle hug for me and I hope that he is all better soon  P.S. - When you say "Doubly Leash Header" - are you talking about a Leash Coupler? The thing that you use to attach to BOTH dogs Harnesses so that you can walk them together with one leash? If so I will NEVER be using mine again as I didn't know anything about it being dangerous for our babies. I haven't actually used mine in a LONG time (since I found out that my Tatum has LP) - because Stedman pulls her also and I didn't want it to hurt her little legs, so we now walk them separately. But, if this is what you are talking about, a Leash Coupler, please let me know so that I can get rid of that thing! If so, I won't ever be using it again! :thumbdown |

wow thanks for the info! |
So glad you posted this! I've got 2 of them for my 5 babies:D, but hardly use them on walks because they constantly fight. Now I won't use them for walking at all! But I do use them in the car sometimes; I can attach 2 to one seatbelt attachment. That seems to work pretty well, at least they're not tugging or pulling on each other. |
aww i hope he feels better and thanks for informing us |
OMG ... the poor little guy .... I had no Idea this could happen !!! Andy ... Maya send you hugs and kisses and we all hope you will be ok in no time !!! :getwellso |
Thank you so much for sharing. I just bought one and have used it a couple of times. I have to put my two calmest ones in it.. Because the first time out with it.. TJ was just too hyper and he was pulling on Sandy. I stopped and hooked Dexter and Sandy in it, and put TJ on his own lead. I never dreamed something like that could happen. Hope your little one gets better quick. |
I have two couplers for my four furbabies, too. Tried them a couple times but it was a disaster. All four were pulling in different directions so I quit using them. Thank you sooooo much for the warning. The suggestion to use them with a seat belt is a good idea. Thanks. |
