I am so happy that Andy will be okay. I know how terrified you were! I would have never imagined anything like that could happen so you've probably helped prevent injury to other dogs.:)

Praying Andy will be relaxed for 2 weeks and be able to take the confinement :(

Yowza I was just going to order one of these for when I get my second. Zoey is a decent walker but I won't chance one of them getting hurt from it.

Sorry to hear about your furbaby.. Glad to hear that he'll recover with lots of rest and meds.. Thank you for telling us about the double leash.. I had no idea what damage it could do.. snuugggles to Andy..

Andy is one of the most well behaved dog you would ever meet but when is going to the bathroom its his way or nothing and stormy likes her space when she does her buisness. I can't even look her way or she'll stop! Lol she prefers privacy! So when they get on it its one one way and the other the other way. And just walking Andy walks faster then stormy and mid stride sometimes she will decide she is done and plop her butt on the ground! The stress on these little ones is too much sometimes! I just thought it would get better at eventually.

I'm so sorry about your little one. I don't use these but I know many that do, so I am very glad you posted about this. :thumbup: Thanks for the infor. and I hope your baby feels better real soon. ;)

WOW! I just bought one of those today because I will be getting a rescue yorkie girl at the end of the month and thought it would be convenient! I be I would have had problems though, after reading your great post because my Alastor is only 2 1/2 lbs while our soon-to-be senior rescue girl is 5lbs+. I hadn't even thought about it causing them harm. I guess I will be returning it. Better safe than sorry. :)

Oh I am so sorry about your baby, but I am so glad you posted this. I have been using a double leash for mine, but no more. Thanks for telling us of this danger

I actually bought one when we recently went on a camping trip because i was tired of getting entwined in leashes from Oliver and
Brooklyn crossing paths in front of and behind me, but, poor Brooklyn would want to visit with all the little kids that would stop us and she would be on her back getting belly rubs when Oliver decided he was leaving...only to drag Brooklyn on her back!! I wont be using it anymore after your story. My sisters dog had the same thing happen to him and she walked them all the time on a coupler. They are Beagles though and the vet had told her that this can happen to Beagles so i didnt think anything about the coupler being the cause...i have to tell her about it now. Thanks for your story and i am glad that your little one will be okay.:)

Thank you so much for the warning. I know lots of folks with more than one use these type of leashes. Glad you caught it so quickly and he will be fine. Hugs to you!!!!!

I knew that is wasn't good to have them pull on the leash with a double leash. I only have Mandy and Chelsey that use one as I tried with Krissy and Teddy and he drug her so much once for just a block I ended up carrying her for the rest of the walk.

I will not even try it now with Darla and Spanky just in case. Thanks for the heads up!

WOW ! I used a ' Y ' a few times and noticed my girls were not in sinc so I stopped using it, I'm so glad I did now. They enjoy their stroller outside and get plenty of exercise inside without leashes anyways.

My 2 girls send kisses to Andy for a speedy recovery. Thank you so much for sharing your story, from reading the posts, you've saved a lot of yorkies from the same situation.
