Does your baby like to eat as soon as they get up?
 

This is just something that I have been wondering about. Stedman is so silly and picky and he refuses to eat when he first gets up in the morning. I have to give him at least an hour for him to "wake up" and "get going" before he will eat his food in the morning :rolleyes: lol...he is such a little mess. I don't know if this is because he is NOT a morning dog or what, but it just cracks me up that he is this way lol. I guess he just takes after his mommy and daddy, not wanting to eat as soon as he wakes up :p Stedman likes to sleep in too :rolleyes: Tatum and I have been up since 5:00 a.m. and Steddy and daddy have been in there sawing logs up until about 20 minutes ago. Stedman (well both of my babies actually) have to be with me AT ALL TIMES...but if I get up at 7 a.m. or whatever, Stedman refuses. He will just lay there and look at me like I am nuts for even waking up that early :rolleyes: And if I TRY to get him out of bed, he just lays back down and totally ignores me :eek: Geez! I guess so STEDMAN :rolleyes: LOL. You little sleep head!!! :eek:

Anyway, sorry for blabbing...but I was just wondering if any other babies are like this? I messed up again this morning and tried to feed him about 10 minutes after he woke up and he was NOT having it. He refused to eat so I guess I have to try again in about an hour :rolleyes: lol. I don't know why he does this!! Tatum would eat in her sleep :rolleyes: LOL. She is ready and willing to eat anything and everything at ANY TIME if you just wave it in front of her face :D Do I have a Ms. Piglet and a Mr. Picky or what! Geez.....lol.

Leo eats about 10 minutes after we get up. I fix his food then place it on the ground and he will eat. While I mix it he goes to his potty pad and has his morning potty,then he will come sit and eat and drink a little water. Then it's play time and we are running through the house chasing the kids. ha ha

I guess I am a bad mommy ... my babies have an open bowl and eat when I do ...but if they do not get enough in the day time ... Jax loves to eat late therfore he is waking me up during the night to potty . I guess I am too easy on all ... skin and fur babies .

Holly wants to eat right away. Gracie is not a morning person and she is not a breakfast eater. She much prefers to lounge around in bed for several hours after I get up. She then may or may not decide to indulge in a bit of brunch before her noon nap. She does enjoy a bite or two of my toast in the morning.

Zoe gets up when we do (6am-7am) and will eat right away. Then she wants to potty, play and then sleep. She nibbles here and there throughout the day but will eat dinner at 9pm. Sounds like Stedman is just not a morning person---nothing wrong with that--neither am I. LOL!!

Chewy will only eat in the morning if its human food. I leave her dry food out all day and she will nibble usually just once a day. Sometimes she has a big lunch and sometimes a big dinner. Occasionally shell eat twice.

That's so cute; I thought that was the only reason they did get up. Joey's my alarm clock, and his tummy decides when I get up, which is about a half hour too early. Right after breakfast he goes down for a "nap", but once I'm up, I'm up.

When we get up I take my little guy, Toby, outside for potty time and some running and playing. He eats 30-60 minutes after he's been up. Kind of like his skin family.:):animal-pa:animal-pa

Everyone here is ready to eat before we even get out of bed!! If a visitor came to our house and watched the morning ritual, they would think my dogs haven't had food for a week!!

Eat, Out, Sleep, Play, Sleep, Patrol, Sleep, Repeat!

All 3 of my babies 'live' to eat!!! They are always up at 5 a.m. ready to eat and play. On the weekends I let them go potty and give them a small snack so that we can go back to bed for another hour or so. I sooo wish I had sleepyheads:rolleyes:

:D:D I tried to repeat that phrase really fast over and over, and found myself in tears LOL

Well what a perfect little guy!!! I wish my babies were that easy to please :rolleyes: I think that they are just too dang spoiled is what the problem is :rolleyes: Little brats I tell ya....LOL!!!! :p

Haha awww, well, you're not a BAD mommy, that's for sure! :) I too used to leave food out 24/7 but that was before I discovered that I had a little piggy on my hands :rolleyes: Tatum (my girl) would eat all day, non stop...and she has a little belly on her :eek: so I had to put them on a feeding schedule. It really works for us though, we are having great results with it :)

Well Gracie and Stedman sound like two peas in a pod...and Holly and Tatum sound alot alike as well :p Although Tatum is ALWAYS ready to eat - any time, day or night....you offer it, and she'll take it! :rolleyes:

Ok...I am getting very jealous of everyones perfect little babies, LOL!!! I am beginning to think that my kiddos are just brats :p LOL. So spoiled. Hah! And STEDMAN...I have to HOLD his food bowl while he eats or he refuses to eat it :rolleyes: Gosh, I think I need Victoria Stillwell or Cesar Millan to pay me a visit :rolleyes: lol....

Mine are all different i guess. Sometimes Sophie doesn't want to eat right away cause she is still in sleep mode like me, i am just not hungry cause my body i think is still sleeping lol But Teddy and sometimes London eat right away. I don't think it's something to worry about tho, i usually try to feed them right away, if they don't want to eat ill try again a little later, usually because its 3 of them the competition somehow makes them each want to eat if that makes sense but its not like a must! They usually take a few minutes to wake up, potty, run around and then they eat lol

Logan (11 months) never eats when he first gets up. Sometimes it's early afternoon before he's hungry. Logan is NOT a morning person and usually sleeps in until 7:30, goes potty outside, and then will go back to bed easily for another hour or two. One morning we didn't get up until after 10 a.m.!

I WISH I could leave food out all day :( But my little Tator Tot will just stand there and pig out 'til she blows up :rolleyes:

Well, you're HALF right....that's the only reason TATUM gets up :p Stedman, I don't know? :confused: LOL. Sometimes I think he'd just rather lay there and sleep all day :p

Yep! That sounds like Stedman then :) He'd much rather get up and run and play and act goofy than eat right away....it just takes him a 'lil while to adjust in the morning :rolleyes: lol :p

LOL!!! So funny!! :D Tatum would fit VERY WELL in your bunch :D She too acts like she's been STARVED when she eats :rolleyes: I can't get over how such a tiny little thing can be such a piggy :eek: I wish Stedman was more like that!

WELL, after reading this I guess I am more happy than I was...LOL!! :p Luckily my babies don't wake me up at 5 a.m. :eek: I don't think that would go over too well on my end...LOL :p I guess in a way I am lucky that my Stedman is a sleepyhead and likes to cuddle in bed for a while :D Just wish the little bugger would be interested in EATING when he woke up! :rolleyes:

Sophie and Steddy would be great buds I think :cool: LOL. Tatum could run with the other two, Teddy and London...;) Haha! :D I guess each baby really is different though....it's just so funny to me how they each have their own little "things" about them - cracks me up :D

Oh, another sleepyhead!! :D But oh my gosh though, HAHA....Stedman would sleep in til noon if I let him, I swear! He just LOVES to sleep late...I have never seen a dog like that lol. Once he's up, he's great (except of course he doesn't want to eat right away) - but he would lay in that bed all day I swear :rolleyes: He is just so silly :p

Well, you can stop being jealous now. TJ and Dexter have me up before 5 each morning. Sandy will sleep until Dad gets home around 7:15. The boys want to eat right after going out potty. Sandy wants to lay in bed, then after she gets up, she wants time to think about breakfast. Then maybe she will eat.. and maybe she will wait until you sit down and get nice and comfy... then she wants to eat. Just a little spoiled. Of course, by that time, the boys are ready for round 2. They will eat hers if you don't watch them. Little stinkers.. but I love them.

Mischa eats only when he's hungry.. Riddick will eat as soon as he comes in from releaving himself.. I leave the food down all day as they never ate enough in a feeding.. Now if I added cottage cheese to their food, they'd have it devoured in a second.. Mischa doesn't care for his Wellness dog food.. It's fish & sweet potatoes.. He'll eat it, but he'd rather have junk dog food, which he's not getting...

Well I can tell you one thing Maxi is not a morning dog LOL He does the same thing as your baby when you try to wake him up, he looks at you like you have 3 heads :D Maxi only eats when we eat. There is something weird he developed. He thinks he should eat only when we eat :rolleyes: Sometimes if he is still very tired in the morning he wont eat. If that is the case, he will definitely eat in a few hours :)

KaCee sounds just like Tatum..she is such a little pig! Constantly eating, constantly full of energy! A.J on the other hand sounds ALOT like Stedman! That boy would stay in bed all day if I let him. As long as I take him out to potty mid morning, he'll come back to bed and sleep with me way past noon! Then after he does get out of bed, he'll curl up on the couch and lounge around for at least 30 minutes before he'll wander over to the food bowl!:D

When Meeko wakes up, the first thing he wants to do is go to the potty. When he gets back in he has breakfast. Sometimes he'll pick at the leftovers around 4. Then he goes out to the potty around 8:30 and then eats his dinner. I'm lucky though, he likes to sleep in. He likes sleeping in late on the weekends with me.
