Help...I have one sad pup... 2 Attachment(s) So Abbey is absolutely attached to my BF's dog, Nuppy. Nuppy pretty much had lived with me full time bc my boyfriend lives in my apartment even though he has his own. Anyway, my BF and I have been fighting a bit so he went back to live at his apartment, and poor Abbey is beside herself in sadness. I have never seen a dog so sad. When they first left she sat by the door for almost 4 hours crying and staring out the crack. I would move her over and try to play and she was not having it. That was last night. We went to bed and she did fine. Now today, she hasn't really eaten all day. She is not very interested in playing. Annnd she still goes to the door and cries. I swear yesterday I saw a bunch of tears streaming down her face (is this possible? do dogs actually cry with sadness and produce sad tears?). Anyway, it is destroying me to see her like this. I don't know what to do and she needs to eat. Will she ever be OK?? It's SEVERE seperation anxiety. Poor gal. 1. This is how she waits at the door. 2. Abbey crying (I SWEAR I see tears). |
Sorry the pics are of poor quality...they are cell phone pics, but you get the point. |
oooh, how heartbreaking!! She is grieving for her lost friend, she will be ok in a few days...try giving her some nutrical. |
She does look like she is crying in that second picture Poor baby I hope that Nuppy gets to come back soon Give her a hug for me |
Poor baby! I'm sorry. |
Awwwwhhhhhh..... I am SO sad for her!! (and I hope your ok too!!) She will be ok, she just needs a little time. Try to make a big fuss over her, which I'm sure you already have, she will be ok. And I think they can feel very upset when things happen, or we are sad. Maybe take her out to a dog park or around other dogs, or get another Yorkie!!! lol |
Poor baby! Is there any hope that you might work it all out with time? I am sure she hopes so. I believe that dogs really cry tears. Mine do. |

She looks sad. I hope you make up with your bf soon--otherwise you might need a new yokie as a playmate. |

I'm sorry for the loss of your friend What about you maybe keeping nuppy at your apartment while you decide what to do ? That may be prolonging things if they dont go the way you hope.... but if you feel you'll get back together maybe that would be a good solution for now ? or - what about finding her a friend in the meantime ?? |
that is the saddest thing ever I feel soo bad for her. You just wanna give here a hug and tell her it will be ok...........Good Luck |
Poor little one, Hope you two can work it ot. |
That is so heart breaking. I hope you can work it out, but if possible I would think about getting another friend for her, |
I hope you and your BF make up and that Abbey feels better soon! |
Awww Poor baby! Just breaks your heart! I hope all works out with your BF! In the meantime... Get out the ice cream and the Yorkie ads :D |

Poor baby:( Have you taken her for a walk yet? Maybe that will take her mind off of Nuppy, they always love walks. Give her treats and play with her. Maybe also try to go to dog meetups so she can regularly play with other small dogs:) |
Do you not have friends that have dogs? I would say she just misses her playmate. You need to get her a new playmate weather you purchase one which you say you can't. Or do the next best thing and find a friend that will go for walks or let the dogs play togeather for the day. |
