Someone asked me to sell them my Jeter  I had Jeter out for a walk down town and this couple from out of town asked me all sorts of questions on Jeter,I guess they were liking how small he is because a lot of the Questions were on his size and age. They said they wanted a smaller li'l boy to breed with their girl Yorkie they have at home. The guy asked me how much I would be willing to sell him for:eek: I told them he was not for sale at all and then he said he could give me $3,000 on the spot:eek: I said sorry no amount in the world would make me sell my puppy! My son and I started to walk away and the guy said something about me being a "stuck up snob" This is the first BAD thing that has happened to me being out with Jeter. People alway's will stop and tell me what a cute Yorkie he is and pet him on his head. Jeter loves the attention he gets from them his little tail will be going fast and he is in heaven getting a pet on the head! These people really scared me when the asked me to sell him to them. At first I thought they were kidding but then it just seemed scarry to be their. Thankfully other people were out walking down town too so if they had tried to take Jeter I am sure people would of been able to help me get him back. I am not 100 % sure but I think they had been drinking to. I could smell beer on them. Anyway's I could not believe they thought I would sell my dog to them. They have a girl Yorkie and it made me wonder how they could even think for one second I would sell my dog if they two loved their dog. And the amount they offered.. What the heck! I would not sell him for any amount of money in the world. I love Jeter!! And to call me Stuck Up :confused:well then I am proud to be stuck up for not wanting selling my little love bug to them!! |
Yeah, people are definitely scary and so weird. It doesn't make sense to me. |
very scary. |
Weird experience. And how does "stuck up" fit into how you reacted? That doesn't make any sense at all. I bet they were drunk....out of their minds. Sorry you had to go through something so unpleasant. It just reminds me of how protective we need to be of our little babies. People do and say odd things especially when their minds are altered by drugs or alcohol. Keep your baby safe and give him a hug for us.:animal-pa:animal-pa:animal-pa:animal-pa |
I was asked if my yorkie was a freebie while carrying her into a store yesterday. I looked at the guy and said uh, no. She isn't for sale and definitely not a give away. I was appalled. |
That's really scary and I wouldn't have trusted them at all. Who knows...they could have been out to "take" Jeter and lucky you had people around you. I hope you had Jeter tight in your arms while talking with those creepy people.:( |
Geez, some people! Unbelievable that someone would think you are a snob because you don't want to sell your dog! We had Camden & Wrigley in their stroller at an art show yesterday and some guy came up and put his hands on the stroller and said " I will take them " and I said NOT FOR A MILLION BUCKS! He asked me if I was sure and I said absolutely! |

I seriously get asked that all the time...I just say "you can't afford her'. Sorry this happened to you. |
I get asked about selling Bella too. I just reply she's Priceless and no amount of money could buy her. I even got asked at a yard sell that my church was having for a fundraiser how much Bella was. I was like, she's not for sell. |
Oh yuck. You know the gull of people just shocks me at times. I think I might not have been so nice in my reply to being approached with such idiocy |
Wow I find that so WEIRD. Why would someone not understand that this isn't just some animal, it's your baby. Would you sell your skin kid?!?! It's just as weird to ask to buy someone's furkid!!! I mean, like your not attached to your pet at all, you could just say "BYE, here is your new family!" And never see the dog again! What FREAKS. |
Also this post made me realize how scary it is...I will never take Abbey anywhere without a leash on where I can snap her up... bc some people dont even ASK they just grab and run. I always thought that this was unlikely and the more I think about it...it could totally happen...so scary. |
