These kids are going to give me a heart attack!!! I'm sitting here in front of the computer, Cherish (my niece) and my daughter Val are here watching TV. Gus jumped on my lap and when I went to go kiss him, he had blood on top of his head. Before i had time to react,,,,,,, Cherish is running from the bathroom yelling,,, awtee maca, I got a bwig bowddy nose, with tissue in both nostrils (which only one side was bleeding) and blood dripping from her chin. I asked her what happened and she said,,, I downt know. I just pick it. So I clean both her and Gus up, and told her to stay on the sofa. The bleeding stoped so I took out the tissue and told her to leave her nose alone. I go and clean the bathroom and Val is yelling for me,,,,, Cherish is going to town again. When she sees me coming,,, she pointed her finger at me and says,,,,,, wook no bowd awtee maca. Here I am trying not to laugh and Val is rolling on the floor laughing. |
Ya gotta love 'em! |
coz you can't kill em |
This is one reason why I am not going to have any kids... my furbabies are enough of a handful for me! Heehee! |
LOL what a day!! |
There shoulda been a drum roll after Teri's post...get on the ball people!lol One small girl with a bloody nose ain't nothin'...wait 'til you have a houseful of teenagers that break bones and set themselves on fire...Then you can whine. |
Mine are all grown and gone with families of their own. I do miss those days. I remember one in particular when my daughter called me at work. At the time I was working in ICU at the hospital. I told them never call unless it was an emergency. She told me her brother put her shoes in the commode. I told her to put his in the commode and hung up. Yep, those were to good ole days. |
Remember you can pick your friends and you can pick your nose but you can't pick your friend's nose! My kids were only allowed to call me at work, if someone was bleeding or the house was on fire! Although I got a call one time from one daughter who was locked out while the other one threw her clothes out of a second story window!! Sylvan, they set themselves on fire?? For real?? |
2 Attachment(s) I do have one teen (girl 15) and one preteen (boy 12) And the the preteen has me so worried. I do think theres something wrong with the boy. My husband says he's just being a boy, and that makes me so thankfull that I only have one. But when it come down to it,,, I thought I was done with baby stuff,,, potty training which is not going good at all. The messes I have to pick up everyday,,,,, oh man this girl makes a mess after eatting!!!! But I try and look at this way,,,,,,,, I do love this little girl as if she were mine. And if I were sick or in trouble with the law like my sister. I would so grateful if one of my sisters or brother took in my baby and treated them as if they were their own. As for my son,,,,, I just hope he makes it form day to day with all the crazy things he does. And to top it off I have to deal with all these little girl that already calling him,,,,,,, This is my handsom daredevil and my oldest daughter and the other one is totally Timmy being himself. |
Yes, for real. My oldest boy, (the one who just got a splint yesterday on the finger he broke dropping a cement mixer on his hand) and (the same one who had his arm surgically put back together after breaking both bones in it doing a flip on the rope swing on Mothers Day 2002) managed, despite years of training in Boy Scouts, to follow his father's example and toss gasoline on a bonfire they were trying to light and it flashedback and burned his whole right side. We spent most of last August in the hospital, but they did a great job and he doesn't have much scarring. I keep telling them I went to a lot of trouble to bring their bodies into the world, it would be nice it they could stop smashing them up. Yep, ya gotta love them. |
Moncia, you are allowed to whine all you want. |

Oh the trials and tribulations of Motherhood!! I know why I got gray hair trying to poke its way out. My daughter is 14 years old but my son is only 8 months old so the madness is just beginning ALL OVER AGAIN!! I have a lot of fun times to look forward to! Thank God we are blessed!! :D |

Why can't they stay this small forever???!!!!! |
5 Attachment(s) Monica ~ ALL your babies are Gorgeous!! It IS a big adjustment but we are so lucky to have our little boy. We adopted him and have had him BEFORE birth, if that's possible. I thank God everyday for blessing me with both my babies. I am enjoying it soo much the second time around since I know each day is precious, because they do grow so fast. I see it in my daughter and miss so much her chubby little dimpled hands and her sweet little baby face but fortunately I have been given another little one to cherish while still cherishing my bigger, no longer dimpled or chubby, 14 year old baby. Here are pics of our son Tristan...one is his hospital pic, and the other is of him and I taken on Adoption Day when he was 4 months and 1 week old, and the other two were taken a little over a month ago, one is of him alone and the other is of him and his sissy, my 14 year old, Brittany, and there is another of him and my daughter taken less then a month ago. I LOVE MY BABIES!! |

My Bret is well recovered from the burns, but has gotten slack about keeping the new skin out of the sun and applying the creams day & night, so his arm and leg will probably always have the marking from it. That was the short list of hospital visits...the long one is just too depressing to contemplate, let's just say I have earned every one of my grays. kids. |
I'll trade you. My kids are FOREVER getting into something. I remember when they were real little (2 and 4 I think). The doctor told me I should nap when they do. So, I took his advice and decided to take a nap when they took theirs. I even put the baby gate up in the door way of their room so if they woke up first I would hear them. WRONG They are VERY sneaky. My son (who was 4 at the time) snuck out of the room (without making a sound), got the clippers from the bathroom, and snuck back into the room. When I woke up, both my kids had shaved heads........and one of them is a girl  |
Babies drool, dogs rule!! |
WOW, some of you have been through a LOT! I was worried that I was the only one that didn't have a perfect family after the "What do you look like and what do you do" thread. LOL! |

Putting Yorkies asside for a moment.. :) I am the mother of 2 grown men - 26 & 29 years old. My 2 sisters each have 2 girls the same ages as my sons (give and take a year) , and all 6 of them have grown up together. WELL !! give me my boys any day.. I adore these girls, they are like the daugthers I never had BUT .. the drama and trauma growing up was incredible. Who's crying because the boyfriend is seeing some else, who's crying because she has a party and nothing to wear, who's crying because she's has PMS, the hairdresser ruined my hair, need money to have my nails done, on & on & on...ugh.. |
