2 Attachment(s) our breeder lives only about 10 minutes from my house and we happened to find her when nugget and his 4 littermates were only 1 week old. we were lucky enough to become very good friends with her and visited nugget atleast twice a week till he was ready to go home. it was great because we got to handle nugget and the other 4(3 girls, 2 boys total) and start teaching him his name and our sent. i think this formed such a great bond between us! we payed $200, with all his papers and hours of talking with the breeder and getting info on caring for him. our breeder owned both the mother and father, an older male that was her husbands(past away about 10 years ago), a 9 month old petite lil female from her last litter, and of course the pups. ill attach a pic of nugget and kendra(nuggetsmom) @ about 5 weeks and his father "winston" from when we were visiting nugget at our breeders home back in april :) |
I got my new baby Lady Luna from yorkielovebug who lives in spiro (3 hrs away) paid 1k which is totally more than i would have ever considered paying for a dog but once lycan died i knew i had to have another regardless of the price. |
I got Mollie from a very good friend of mine. Only $500. Most definately worth every penny. |

We paid $1500. Our breeder is about 2 hours from us in NJ. My husband freaked when he heard the price but I just wanted him so much! Hubby can never say no to me. ;) |
We paid $800 for each of our girls from a breeder in Erlanger, KY(40 minutes south of where I live). |
Angel was $1100 with shipping and Prince was $600 with shipping. Quite a difference in price but both are perfect. |
We drove three hours to Virginia to get Gracie and paid $1500 for her. |
Where in VA? I live in VIrginia and don't know of any breeders out here. Well I know there are some, but I only learned of them recently. I tried so hard to find a yorkie breeder out here that would be able to help me when angel gave birth. Sadly, I couldn't find even one :( |
Near Richmond. I could get her name and phone number. I am not sure I would recommend her though. She never gave us the AKC papers as promised. She told us Gracie would be 5 pounds and that we could show her. Gracie is 8 pounds and has cottony hair and her back is not straight so we could never show her. Now, that said, I never had any intention of showing her and I would not trade her for a billion dollars, but seems to me the breeder should not make such statements and certainly should have given us the AKC papers especially when she charged so much for a dog that is no where near the breed standard. Also, we had no idea what to look for when we were looking for our first yorkie. Now we know so much more and would do things differently. Live and learn. But we have our girl and she is worth the world to us. |

OH MY! That's terrible! Sounds like yet another person out to make a buck. Im glad that your baby is doing well though. That's what's important. If this woman is what you say she is then I dont wanna associate myself with her. :thumbdown |

What was the name of the breeder there iin Boston? Francie |
My first Maltese was from a BYB and was 350.00 (15 years ago) My current Maltese was 1500.00, a male that I drove 4 hours one way to get. My other current Maltese was 2300, a male and had him flown to me from Oregon. My yorkie mix girl was a rescue (she was on her way to the pound), she was technically "free", but after having her for 3 months we have already spent over 1200.00 in vet bills, (and counting) |
The breeder I got Rams from in Sulfer Springs wanted 600.00 for him, but since the hair on his snout was real short she took 100.00 off.. I still would have paid 600.0 because he is a sweet heart! |
We drove about an hour to pick Callie up...and I didn't really have to pay for her. The people that gave her to us took one of our adult mastiffs and gave me Callie. She is by far the best anniversary pressent I have ever gotten!! |
I just happened upon CHloe one day. I was out running errands and came home with a yorkie. And a tiny one too so I feel pretty lucky since I only paid $750 for her. I paid $200 for my chihauhua Tinkerbell and $250 for my Boxer, Penny. They were all worth it and so much more! |
I had looked for a yorkie for months and finally one popped up in the paper. I called on it and ended up knowing the breeder (I had no clue she bred). She lives 20 min. away and I go and play with my puppy at least 3x a week. The breeder is more than I could have ever asked for and she has been nothing but great! Next tuesday she comes home with me! I paid $1000 for her and she is worth every penny! |
Rika came from a woman in NJ whose two Yorkies accidentally bred. I got her for $300. (Best $300 I ever spent, IMHO.) |
wow, I guess we got bargains Zeke was 375$ Chelsey was 600$...I joke with my wife about them both, but I know she is dead serious when I ask her if she would take a million for them..and she firmly replies... No! |
I paid $800 for Chloe last year and drove 6 hours to Atlanta to get her. I paid $2500 for Lacey, I'm not sure of why she was so high, other than she is a 3lb, beautiful little girl with a champion sire. They are both beautiful yorkies, worth every penny. |

They were pretty special cats. We showed, and bred. One of our grandbabies is the 'fancy feast' cat. Then I had a son who is horribly allergic and we didn't find out until he was 5. Bye Bye cats. But the Devon is hypoallergenic. |
My Yorkie/Pomeranian - $350 - private seller My Yorkie - $1000 - Pet Store (i didn't know about puppymills etc at the time until i found YT!) My Maltese - $500 - Private Seller |

I would have a zoo if I could. My oldest brother pretty much does. When I was a kid he had a galapagos turtle as a footstool (live) and a great snow owl that lived loose in his house. He is an ornithologist, is on the presidents environmental council, is the consultant for NASA on birds & the space shuttle, has written tons of books, travels all over, has a tv show in MS. I grew up with frozen dead animals in the freezer that he was studying..... |
My pets I bought Ruby($1300) from a broker and picked her up my self in a town nearby never to be done again( the broker part) I bought Valentino my pomeranian for $500.00. I went to pick him up here in modesto. :) :) :) |
1 Attachment(s) puppyfind.com has lots of diff breeders all over the us with diff prices. you can search by small dog, type of dog, or state. really cool. fyi take your time and really look closely. some breeders charge outragous prices and some dont. i looked on that site about 2 hours before i found my precious one at the right price. now that i have him i've found cheaper ones but who knows for sure what you get online. i figured god sent me my baby because they all really look alike but something made me keep looking til i found him. not sure how many pages i look thru. |
