Fun Question....Registered Names O.k. so I thought this would be a fun thread. What is your babies full AKC or CKC registered name and how did you come up with it? Mufasa's full name is "Mufasa Jan William Allen" When we were trying to figure out his full name we wanted something that represented me, my husband and my kids. My daughter has my middle name and my son has my husband's middle name so we took our middle names and put it with our last name hence Mufasa Jan William Allen. It may not make much sense but it means something to us. Mufasa's dad's name was William Parker Cardoza and his mom's name is Little Miss Coco. *L* :) |
I gave mine registered names that don't match their call names. Zoeybear is "Ma Petite Souris"- My little mouse in French Baby Chloe is "Gold Dust's Kissing Machine" |
Mika had already been given her registered name by the breeder by the time I first visited her (at 4 weeks old). I think it may be done differently here in the UK, the pups are all registered BEFORE they leave the breeder! Her KC name is "Mummy's Princess" and she is!TEEHEE!!!:D |
Kingston's AKC name is Kingston Rosco Bentley Bentley is our last name and the rest came from my husband he is the one that name him because I got to name Lily. Lets just say I will name our children LOL |
Layla's registered name was chosen by the breeder as well. She called her "Roda Birch" but I had my heart set on the name Layla before I even found her! With any correspondance I've had with her breeder, she still calls her Roda while I call her Layla. |
The previous owner named both of my girls. Cookies AKC registered name is Gracie's cookie surprise and Foxy AKC name is Galxay Girl Gigi. I don't like either of their registered name sand plan on changing them, Cookies will be Carolina's sugar Cookie and Foxy's will be Carolina's Foxy Lady.:) |
Layla's AKC name is Miss CanAm (yes i know... "Layla" is no where in there :p) but we choose that because she lives in Canada but was born in the US |
I did Legacy's name and Mike did Impreza's. Legacy's name is Legacy Peanut King. and Impreza's is Impreza Butter King. King is Mike's last name. Their first names are after Subaru's and the middle name is just something we came up with out of the blue one day. |
Gracies registered name is Gracie May Paradise! yes not to exciting but I love the name Gracie and May because that was my moms middle name and its the month hubby and I got married in... and Paradise is our last name! :) |
Ozzy's AKC name is Taylor's Wizard of Oz. His breeder is Taylor Made Yorkies and I liked having his call name in his registered name. He reminds us of the wizard who seems so big and powerful behind the curtain but he is just a short little guy. (we let Ozzy think he is the all powerful yorkie Oz, when really he is just a little sweet boy :D ) |
Mia's registered name is 'Mia Coco Berry'... I read I was supposed to be creative, so that's what I came up with. We chose Coco because when we were naming her it came down to Mia or Coco... so Coco is her middle name, and Berry is my BF's last name. Thought it blended together well. :) |

Kash is AKC elligible, but i decided not to register him... BUT if i had registered him... his registered name would have been "Humiston's Little Kashew Nut." Humiston is my last name... and he's a little nutty!! lol. |

So my puppy's CKC registered name is: "Seven Pines Littlest Mac" and I'm sure you can figure out that he is the Littlest Mac(Donald) in our family. ;) We just call him Mac. :p |

Sterling's registered name is Sterling Michael Lane (my maiden name)...Lola's AKC name is Lola Sunshine Bloom (married name), and Diego's name is Diego Paco Charlie Bloom. Diego was named after all of my 4 year old's favorite cartoon characters...YOU try reasoning with a 4 year old! |
Wrigley's AKC name is Delta Emerald Lynch Queen. Lynch is our last name and we were doing a play on words with Delta/Emerald Queen. We are from Ohio and we have the Delta Queen boat and my Brother lives in Seattle and they call it the Emerald city! I'm trying to come up with Camden's AKC name now, I don't like the one the breeder registered her with! |

Jeter's registered name is" Petrick's Sir Jeter Pendragon". I wanted to name him after my Yankees, and Derek Jeter is my favorite player. I wanted him to have a English title so that is where the Sir is from, and Pendragon is from King Athur, I love reading about King Athur and his knights of the Round Table, Petrick is my last name;) Yumi Yasha will be registered Petrick's Imperial Princess YumiYasha. I let my boy's and husband help name her because I had wanted her to have a Yankee name but my son wants to have Yasha in the name... My husband said that I can have the boy's have Yankee names and the girls I guess will be Japanese names. Anyway's I agreed to Yasha but said I would come up with the rest, so Imperial Princess is her royal tittle, Also her name Yumi is supposed to mean beautiful in Japanese and Yasha is supposed to stand for demon. Lets just hope she doesn't act like a little demon;) |
Kayla's is Gidget's Little Kayla. Gidget is her mother, Stedman is her dad. When I sent in her papers to AKC I accidently put Bridget instead of Gidget and I called them and they would not change it. Said I would have to reapply and pay the fee over. So, its mommies fault her papers are wrong. UGH!! |
Tucker's registered name is Tuck Everlasting. Tuck Everlasting is one of my favorite books, and so I figured Tucker - Tuck...yeah. :p |

Maggie Rose - Magnolia Rose III - I love magnolias and roses and the LLL was because 2 other dogs were registered with the same name. Dante - Dante's Inferno - one of my favorite books Leo -Leonardo Davinchi - favorite artist and because he was born in August which makes his astrological sign Leo Friday - Heritage Hill My Gal Friday - It's an old Carey Grant movie me and my sister used to watch when we were little. (She's passed away) and the Heritage Hill is for 2 reasons. That is where she came from and I wanted to have her keep something from where she came from. And because Catherine asked me to. |
Remy's registered name is " Rembrandts Little Maserati " Rembrandt for an arts theme :artist:( I'm a picture framer in an art gallery ) and Maserati because she thinks she's a high performance race car! :car: Eileen :D |
