Treats !! Bogey & Pebbles get their yogurt (plain non-fat) fix every afternoon with missing link. Then they get green beans with their Candidae. If I get cantalope out of the frig., they think they need a taste! |
I give Meeko a lot of fruits and veggies. He likes apples, bananas, blueberries, strawberries, pineapple, cucumber, lettuce, pumpkin (canned smashed), peas. He also gets plain yogurt, peanut butter, cheerios, and cheese. |
Bandit LOVES everything:D But I think his fav. is cheerio's and cheese |
Daisy LOVES carrots, apples and rice. I had saved some plain white rice for her but after refridgerating it, it was waaay too tough so i put the tiniest bit of butter on it, heated it up and i've NEVER seen her eat anything like that!!! She was running around with rice stuck to her face begging for more!! On a non-human food note, if we start to even whisper the word "puperoni" Daisy will start running circles until we get off the couch to get her the t-r-e-a-t which we now have to spell out!!:p |
human food you said??? cottage cheese, yogurt, ice cream, watermelon, green beans, peas, strawberries, carrots, whole grain pasta, rice, chicken, lean ground beef... this are all things he likes. He also gets homecooked meals along with vitamins. I wouldn't give her tomatoes, I read they are not that good for dogs. |
According to this website it's the stems and leaves of the tomato that are not good for dogs. Foods You Should Not Feed Your Dog When I share my tomato with Gracie, it's only one or two bites the size of a pea. Same with the pickles. The pickle part cracks me up because my oldest daughter and my grandkids have what we call the Pickle Club. My Grandson does not like pickles but last time he spent the night with me I told him he had to try Grandma's special pickles. He loved them!!! He's now a member of the "Pickle Club" too:cheer:!!! |
when I make their food (boiled ground turkey) I add chopped raw green or red pepper, zucchini, celery, apple (mixed with their vit. suppl) OMG do they love it ....No more topping it with parmesan cheese....! I think it's the peppers, they lick the plate clean...They also get watermelon, papaya, pineapple, dried cranberries too...mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm:p |
It seems like many yorkies like carrots. I just returned from the grocery store with a bag of baby carrots and tried them on my 2 dogs. They didn't go over very well...so I'll keep trying. If they don't eat them I will!!! I love veggies:D |
My lil one will eat anything you'd give her I think She is definately not a finekey eater...she loves Plain Low Fat Yogurt, Cantalope, Baby Carrots, Watermelon, Green Apple, Lettuce, Vanilla Ice Cream/baby food beef/chicken....I use these as special treats for her rotating them....and always in small amounts. I will have to give zucchini/green peppers/strawberries a try...and she how she likes those |
A couple years ago I used to give Lucy small amounts of banana's but they didn't agree with her. Now I do not feed her any people food, as some one mentioned about weight gain. I don't want a porkie yorkie :aimeeyork Now I'm not sure what her daddy feeds her when I'm not looking!! ;) lol |
