So I am going through Craigslist like I always do and come across this ad for rehoming two yorkies...free :scratchhe...so, I am in one of those moods and decide to respond :biggrin:

Here is the first email I receive:

I start to reply about their scam but then I think...what the hell....lets play!

Yeah !!! big time scam, I cannot believe it that after all this time, people still fall for it. It has been around for years, I guess there really is a sucker born every minute:D

if the fee for their flight documents and papers. so the cost for one of the documents is $60 thats $120 for the documents of the two babies. so as soon as you pay the $120 you will have the two babies home.I am sorry to say i will not give one of them out because they like each others company. so i am giving them both to the same home where they will be loved
equally and catered for and i see you will provide all i need for the babies so promise me that you will take good care of them.
So i promise you that all you will pay and have these two babies home if $120 and thats to complete the documents with your full name on. so please to show me you will carter for them well provide me the following information

Well, I suppose if this were legit I would want them. However, knowing that this is one big fat scam..I think I will pass...and just to let you know. I have reported you and your friend...Calista Madeline....We dumb Americans are catching on.....
But I think before I send this one I am going to let him know that Calista is offering to send me two and she is paying for everything.

Mocking? No....I asked how do I know this isn't a scam? See...some of us Americans are as dumb as you think we are...I am a true Yorkie breeder and lover....you are a scammer. Someone who preys on innocent people who would love to have a breed like a Yorkie and can't afford it so will easily fall to scum like yourself and your friend, Davis Scarole...yes, your both trying your best to come off as American over in Africa doing this or that...however, problem is you scammers are stupid enough to pick professions that first off would use proper grammer and secondly would at least know how to spell.



Your ads have all been flagged for removal and you both have been reported! I hope your sorry asses rot!

Most yorkies that i have seen advertised on Craigslist are scams. They had a special on TV a few months back, it actually showed the people doing this. They said most are located in Africa because their is no way for us to prosecute them. Out of the jurisdiction of the US. So sad.

Nigerian fraud! I had never heard of it until i tried to sell something on ebay...i got scammed! Lesson learned...

I am selling on ebay right now and I was wondering how you got scammed. I am a little worried now

I found a yorkie adv. in St. Louis which is only 3 hrs away from me. It was a scam but they must have had someone from Indiana working with them. I sent part of the money to indiana but never got the dog. I was sooooo upset. Several months later (after considerable research) I found a breeder about 1 1/2 hrs away. I went and fell in love with my baby Cena. An elderly couple had 17 boys and only 2 girls with their last litters. They had a sale on the males for one day only. I went and bought my love and have never been seperated since. He nursed me through the third month on from back surgery never leaving my side. He is a wonderful companion. He is "natural sized" and has my heart. I am thankful now that I did not get the other puppy, I was hurt that someone would do that to someone but I have the baby that I was meant to have. Since then, I had neck surgery and my husband has had thorasic back surgery and Cena has taken really good care of both of us when needed. I think the people who scammed me with get what they deserve, maybe not from me but they will have to answer for it sometime.
