This is what I had read about them also. So I was terrified of treating my boy as a toy breed. Anyone else..heard this? :confused:
i am sure others have read or heard about the breed...but like me...i would have never thought i would fall in love with the breed...hehe

I read all about Yorkies and a few other breeds before I got Maverick. But I guess it's a good thing I looked on YT first. I knew by reading all of your posts that Yorkies were awesome dogs. I did hear some bad things to though and that's just sad. My Maverick is NOT yappy at all. He only barks occasionally and he's only mean to the cat!! It's a sad stereotype if you ask me.

So sorry you had that hapening to you .....

Well I have to go .... my Hubby is takeing us out for Ice-Cream .... I will shure miss that going to the US !

but i guess you live and learn...hehe...i thought that they were mean and yappy for the longest time...hehe...

i only wish i had one of mines with me at Petco so they could have seen that isn't true...hehe...but i went straight to Petco from work..hehe

No it's like a Cafe' and they have so much to pick from .... not like a Baskin Robin .... ok ..... I mean real homemade 'ITALIAN' Ice-Cream ........ :D

Aarrgg .... no not yet ! I am going crazy sitting here waiting ...
I started packing some of the things I don't want the movers to touch .... I know once we get a date ... everything will be fast and it will be a lot of stress .... BUT ... it is my last move and I can't wait to live a normal life .... ;)

aww i am excited for you....normal life? what is that? i don't think there is such a thing as a normal life? hehe

YEAH there is to me .... being an Army Wife is hard sometimes ..... I love it ... it is a Lifestyle to me and I am honored to be his Wife and being with him doing what he is ..... he has been in the Service for 16 years and I have been with him for 10 years now ...... he came a long hard way to where is he now .... he has been deployed 1 to many times and I can finally sit back and breath and not worry he will not come home one day .....
This is my way of thinking it will be a normal life .... :)

My Lil Puppy Girl "Roufianna" is both yappy and nasty. She is the scourge of the squirrel population and a master of the oriental art of Karatchie (bitting the genitals of those that don't pet her). Her forte is first to hamstring an opponent (as this is all she can reach) then to do the genitalia thingy after they helplessly fall, usually face down to the ground, thus bringing them to complete submission.

Maltese dos/puppies are anther gorgeous breed. They are beautiful. I was tossing it around when deciding to get my first puppy .It was one of my personal favorites too. :aimeeyork

AS for the nasty, yappy, Yorkie, well ummmm that is a matter of personal opinion. I know they can get that way if they are not properly socialized. However, and dog can be like that too. Yorkie's are know to be pampered though, and extremely protective of their owners. You just got to have one, to know what they are all about.:aimeeyork My parents Pom. was a yappy dog, and also very naughty. Any toy breeds are more vocal and have the hearts of a lion. :animal36
