Our Rescues Hope, Chance & Kaine 4 Attachment(s) Welll.... OK Yorkie Rescue had an eventful weekend & we wanted to share it with our Yorkie family. Saturday we obtained 2 yokies at, can you believe, a dog auction. We figured we would like to try to get as many as we can away from that atmoshpere & keep them from potentially going back into a breeding program. So... we got an 8 week old female & a 4 year old male. When Kelly asked what I thought we should name them.... a light bulb turned on & gasping I said.... Hope & Chance. I figured we are giving "Hope" & another "Chance" so..... Hope is our 8 wk old female & Chance is our 4 year old male. Hope is pics 1 & 2, Chance is pics 3 & 4. THEN>>>> Sunday, Kelly gets a call from a lady needing to surrender her 10 month old male yorkie. She (the owner) had been diagnosed with seazures and between her medical bills & medication & vet bills & such... she just couldnt do it. Her mom finally convinced her she need to let him go. THANK GOD... she called us!!! So, we now also have 10 month old Kaine who by the way LOVES to play fetch. :D Kaine is in the next post, all 3 pics. We have had already, prior to even having any dogs available, lots of adoption applications submitted so.... it should not take us very long to have happy homes for them. Monday they will all go to the vet for checkups and then neuters & spays & teeth cleanings after that. We are excited to have been blessed with such wonderful "first" rescues as they all seem to be VERY loving, not skidish or anything. :thumbup: Keep us & them as we start the journey in finding them happy forever homes... how exciting...my friend is asking me to help find her a baby/young male yorkie to rescue or adopt...she doesn't wants one that will be between 4-7 lbs...and i told her that i would help look but can't guarantee that i will find one...so i been on petfinder.com almost everyday...i thought i seen Kaine on there...hehe...its is strange because my male maltese is name Kaine...hehe |

Ok... here is an update for everyone on these 3 !!!! CHANCE.... goes to his forever home TODAY!!! Congrats to Chance, he found his loving family. They are excited to be getting him. Her boys fell in love with him & her husband, who is serving in Afghanastan, will surely fall in love when he gets home too. HOPE... has gotten LOTS of inquiries... we are looking through the apps & trying to find the best fit & calling on references. Hope was spayed today :( KAINE... had one appt with a potential new family but that didnt work out. He didnt preform for them, actually, he ignored them as best he could :rolleyes: BUT... he has another appt with a different potential family & hopefully they will be a good fit... it sounds good so far, so keep your fingers crossed. |
Finally Home 2 Attachment(s) Congratulations to Kaine !!!!! He has found his forever, loving home. This brings me to Congratulations to Brian & Rachel !!!! This is Kaine's new mom & dad. They are so excited for him to join their new family. I told Rachel about YT & asked that she join & told her that everyone was expecting to be able to what him grow up. I told them there is LOTS of info about yorkies & help when they needed it. Brian thought that was cool. Here is the happy family & a pic of Kaine at his new home before I left !!! (Oh yah... & the basket case that I am, cried & couldnt even say bye :rolleyes: good grief) |
What fitting names for Hope and Chance!! And I like Kaine too! Way to go on your efforts to find them the loving homes they deserve - there's gonna be a place for you in Yorkie Heaven! Congrats to the adoptive families! |

He was the sweetest dog and if i didn't already have 5... he would've been staying here. i was secretly hoping no one would fill out an application for him so he would have to stay here!!! but here he is with His new momma Linda |
OMG......I'm so happy right now, such successful, happy endings for our babies. Brian and Rachel look so comfortable with Kaine already, like he's been there all along. And Kelly, I see what you mean about the sweet look on Linda's face, you can tell she is in love with Chance. I'll always feel a special bond with Chance and Hope being our first. I'm thrilled to see he has such a great new start. Bo and Faith will have to go soon and I'm not looking forward to them leaving.....talk about crying :( I love watching them get healthier and happier each day. They've come so far, Angi and Kelly, you wouldn't believe how they've filled out already. |
That's so exciting!! Their new families look wonderful! I have to admit I did get a knot in my stomach as soon as I read this. All I could think was oh goodness Pearl's gonna be next and I'm not ready to give her up! I totally understand how everyone was so emotional with it. Last night I had a dream Pearl was adopted... I woke up crying and teared up later today just thinking about it! |
