I can't believe you asked about 10 hours - I would have a problem with 10 minutes !!!!!! |
You can't be for real ....you're posting to get a rise out of people right ? first you call your dog an 'it' - And you want to talk about a muzzle for TEN HOURS ? I'm not even going to say what I'm really thinking here. If you're for real - sorry but not really - I don't feel any different - cats are quiet & just what you should think of getting if it's that bad for you that you want to muzzle a dog - If you didn't come here to jack with people - do your dog a favor and find a good home with someone who won't mind a little barking. |
Would you be open to rehoming "IT " - I will gladly give this darling a home. |
I don't think this is real...but my Yorkies don't really bark that much. Some of them are a little worse than others, but for the most part they ONLY bark if I have to put them up to go somewhere. If they're out with me they're happy and have no reason to do it unless the doorbell rings or something. And I have much more than 1 dog...so I know if it's relatively quiet here, then you can keep 1 baby under control. |

I apologize, my dog does have a name. I just didn't want to post it. I really was asking a legitimate question, I was just trying to learn more. I have learned a lot and thank you all. Do you recommend any good books or websites where I can learn more about how to care for yorkies? |
I agree with everyone here. All dogs bark, our puppies bark, but we teach them to be quiet when we feel they shouldn't be barking. You just need to TRAIN your dog. Having a mussle isn't right, I would never do that. I can't even get one of those noise things in the house that is suppose to make a high pitch noise when your dog barks. |

are you one of those telemarketers that BUG THE HECK out of everyone ?? |
I realize I am wasting my time even replying to this post, but here goes... there is no way possible that this is a sincere post. Please notice the context of the title "I muzzle my yorkie for 10 hours a day" This is not for real. |
You should had done that b4 you got him. In addiion, I am sure you are smart enough...Have you thought of looking up information over the www???? Maybe not...you had the solution that pleased you and went ahead and got a muzzle. Best of luck to that poor puppy~! |

telemarketer....LOL :yelrotflm:yelrotflm:yelrotflm Villette you crack me up! |
I strongly urge you to do alot of searching through old threads on yorkietalk. There is an abundance of great information on this site from real yorkie owners that are going through probably many of the same issues you are. |

I'm not sure if this post is real or not, but I've read so many strange things on this forum. First of all, we are trying to tell you that this is a poor idea. You can teach the dog not to bark. You may not eliminate all barking, but you can reduce it dramatically. The "pennies in a can" trick worked for Joey, but you will need to practice when you can give him your attention. Why is your dog barking; do you know the reason? They usually have different barks for different situations, and are really trying to communicate with you. |
