OOh yes I will totally share pics. I have always dreamed of having a little yorkie, since I was a little girl so I am so excited I can do back flips right now, lol. I keep calling to see if the mother had her pups yet. Nothing but they think really soon. Thank you again! Another question does anyone recommend a good book on yorkie care, there are so many and I'm not sure which one would be the most informative. I have always had large dogs so I am used to caring for them and now their needs I would like to be more educated on smaller ones. |

I have to agree with the previous post - the best info I have found is here on YT for free. I got one of those breed books from the pet supply store and most of it was common sense if you know even a little about the breed like: *smaller dogs are generally more difficult to potty train than larger dogs *yorkies need grooming often and coat care can be a lot of work if you want to grow it long and keep it show quality *very small puppies have special caloric needs or they can risk low blood sugar, etc... I read the book cover to cover when I got it and then never referenced it again. YT is way better. ;) If you're into tangible media though I recommend a subscription to Bark magazine or Whole Dog Journal. |
