Well i cant tell you any ideas....my Smokey marked everywhere....so he wears bellybands 24/7.....it was sort of cute in a way.....he is very short....and i walked in my kitchen and my little "devil" had marked about 2 inches high all around my kitchen....on the dishwasher, on the stove, and on the frig......so bellybands are for us... |
My male only marks outside |
I have 3males none of the males mark and the father was not neutered until well over a year he never marked before and does not now. I think if they are going to mark you will see that early on. my cousins male marks and he has to be in a belly band when ever he visits but he has been marking since he was about 3-4 mths old. |
i have 2 males...and they have never marked anywhere. lol i wont let them. and outside, they squat to pee. so i made sure they got nuetered before they started all that mess...i did NOT want marking or lifting legs...lol good luck though! |
Tucker does not mark inside or outside and most of the time he still squats to pee. He was neutured at 6 months. I think the earlier you can neuter, the better, for that sort of thing. He started trying to hump when he was around 3 months. He did it about five times and I never allowed it, so he stopped. I think my boy is the best and wouldn't have him any other way!! |

Oooooh! I LOVE the little boys! They are so precious -- well -- mine is, so I guess I am biased! He is such a cuddle bug, very sweet and snuggly. Yes, he was a little devil to housetrain (he's pad trained) and we really didn't get there completely until he was about a year old. (There was progress as well as setbacks along the way.) So you will have to have patience if yours is a "slow learner" potty-wise like mine! Archie was neutured at 7 months old and he has never been a marker inside the house (though on his walks outside he throws up his little stubby leg every few feet!). Despite what might be some potty challenges, I just know you will ADORE having a little boy! |
Fortunately Hot Rod has not marked. He's a squatter thank goodness as we are keeping him on a pad as well as outside. He's lifted his little leg 3x that I've seen. It is so cute...he really can't keep his balance so he winds up putting it back down. :p He is 9mos and was neutered at 6 1/2 mos. |
