Am I wrong??
 

Hey guys, this is nothing serious but more or less a curious question. I just got off the phone with a family member that also has a yorkie. I swear sometimes I don't even know why I talk to her. She's always comparing my girls with her little girl. She has said some pretty rude comments about them and today she really annoyed me.

She called and asked if I recieved a picture she sent. I never recieved it and asked what was wrong. She said it was a yorkie that she was thinking of buying. She then goes on to tell me how perfect this little girl is. As she's telling me about this girl, she was comparing her to mine the entire time. Then she says that each of mine have something pretty, but this girl has it all. :eek: I couldn't even believe she said it. :thumbdown Did I take that wrong? I was pretty quiet and then she said she wanted one that had a tan head, not like my girls or the girl she has now. Well, I then told her that Pia does have a tan head and she told me she didn't. I said nicely that Trixie's head has a few differen't colors, Paisley's head is blonde but a lot of tan is coming in and Pia is tan.

Am I wrong? She would not let up on this and now I'm curious. It surely doesn't matter to me, but I would like to know if I'm wrong. Pia's head to me has always been without a doubt tan. The roots are darker tan than the ends, but to me it is tan. She said Pia's head is gold. I'm not even sure what gold is considered. :confused:


Sorry this is so long. I'm just curious to know if I've been wrong this entire time. Either way I'm not telling her, hahaha!! :p

Oh she's beautiful. I love that second picture of her....what a darling little girl Pia is. I'm not an expert on yorkie colors but she sure looks tan to me. Don't let her get to you...I know it's hard. People who do so much "comparing" often have some insecurity issues....it's pretty obvious that she does. Does she try to "one up" you on other things too?

Don't let her get under your skin girl - sounds like a evil jealous person is trying to rile you up.

Ignore her and if you choose not to ignore her -just remember that i always have room for one more - especially that pretty :D:D:D

Hm...that's very weird. Sounds like a weird type of person to say any of those things. I mean, it is not really a competition. I would be pretty annoyed if someone said ANYTHING bad about my baby. But you should just blow her off...she sounds weird. Just ignore her comments bc they don't matter. You and me and lots of other people know they your babies are gorgeous. Maybe she is jealous?? BC honestly, and I have always thought this, Pia is THE most gorgeous yorkie I have ever seen. And yes her head is TAN!

no matter what you call it, that little girl is simply beautiful! I can't imagine a prettier little girl, well except mine of course... LOL....

She has such a perfect tiny face, your relative is just jealous because she can't have one that precious!

I don't have a clue about coloring but whatever color it is called Pia's coloring is pretty.

IMHO your family member sounds insecure and jealous.

Thanks everyone. ;) It doesn't matter to me what her hair color is, but I really was curious after everything she said to me. I really don't get her and why she says ignorant things. She has never ever said anything nice to me about my babies. It is so sad because her little girl is just precious. I'd like to steal her, LOL!! I'm so afraid that if she gets this new "perfect" girl, then her other will be pushed to the side. :( She annoyed me but I'mnot upset by her comments. I was just truly wondering if I was wrong about Pia's color, hahaha. Even if I am, I refuse to tell her. :p She would love that too much!!

I know what you mean; sometimes there's just a little something in between the lines. But don't worry about it; Pia is absolutely gorgeous. She looks tan to me and I think the roots are supposed to be darker according to the standard. All your babies are beautiful!

Oh for the love of god why do people need to be so catty. Not sure how you continued a conversation with her. Personally I love your babies.

My guess is that was the big green monster speaking through her. Envy and cattiness are so not traits that I care to deal with.

I'm not really good at the "coloring" thing either but what exactly does she mean but the having it "all"??!! Does she even know??? Do you have a picture of the little girl she's talking about purchasing? Either way, I think Pia is just as beautiful as they come.....and maybe she does too....just doesn't want to admit it..hehehe:p

Thanks everyone and like most of you I'm clueless on what is considered right and wrong when it comes to color. Heck, when I first got Trixie I had no idea all yorkies weren't like her. :cool: When I found out about her hair possibly changing I was upset, LOL. I loved how black it was and I didn't want it to change. I guess I got my wish because she's still as dark as ever. ;) As long as they are healthy, that is all I really care about. :D

I have no I idea what she was trying to get at. It just seems like she's always targeting Pia. She makes some comments about the others, but always goes back to Pia. :thumbdown:mad: I never recieved a picture and I'm starting to wonder if she actually sent one. Maybe she just felt like calling and cutting on my babies. I can defiantely see her doing that. Sad but totally her. :thumbdown

Just a hating nasty person. She must feel some inferiority in her current baby and that is why she is raggin on yours. Any money bet she secretly wants a baby that will look just like PIA. Honestly with their changing colors you really don't know just what your going to get so for her raving about this new perfect looking pup that is just insane.

Actually, gold (head) and blue (saddle) are the preferable colors, some people call your dog's color a "rich tan" or gold. I personally love this color, and I've heard that some females lose the color after giving birth. It sounds like your "family member" is very competitive. Seems to me someone may be a little jealous:rolleyes:...you have stunningly beautiful, well kept & groomed babies..you can see how much those girls are loved. Pia has a tan coloured head in my book;) Negative comments are usually borne out of envy.

You know the older I get I have come to the conclusion we don't have many friends, (if any) only acquintances. To me that is what she sounds like. Not a true friend. Sounds like a little jealousy coming through too. BYW, your baby is darling.

Im not sure about the color of pias hair but with that face she could have green hair and be beautiful! just adorable!
your family member is exacly like a person i cut out of my life not to long ago, i couldnt take the snide remarks and indirects. its all based on one thing...jealousy. Its sad that people have to try to put others down to feel better about themselves:thumbdown

Thanks again for all the nice comments. ;) I love my girls and Snoot so much. They truly could be green and it wouldn't matter to me. If I only cared about the looks, I surely never would have shaved Pia's long coat. Her hair was beautiful and I don't mean this because she's mine, but it really was. I loved her hair but she feels better without it. :D I just wish others didn't get so hung up on the looks of these babies. I never had it happen until I had my girls (yorkies). I've never ever been asked about Snoot's weight or had his looks compared to another pekingese. It just really drives me nuts at times."Some"' people need to find something better to worry about. :cool:

Don't let her insecurities bother you one bit. You have the cutest little fur-baby, and anyone would be so happy and proud to have one exactly like her. She's just precious!!
