I don't think the pictures on Puppy Find are necessarily the actual puppy. Some people just use pictures of a cute dog. By the way, that picture is not a puppy, how old is it suppose to be? Maybe you could warn her that there are lots of puppy brokers out there, not a good way to find a pet.

I think she said the girl is about 1 1/2 years old. I told her about brokers and such but she doesn't care. She just wants a "perfect girl" no matter where she comes from. Needless to say she is so clueless. Sorry if I confused anyone when I was saying a new baby. I just always call them babies no matter what age they are.

The pup does look familiar. She is pretty but I don't think she compares to our PIA . In all seriousness she is pretty in her own way. There is no need for her to compare.

Thank you so much but I agree about the comparing. There really is no need to do it. This girl is beautiful but I hope she finds a good home and not with my relative. I know that sounds terrible but I'm just being truthful.

I don't think your relative is a good owner either. She already has one girl that she seems to overlook. What if she gets this one and then the novelty wears off (at the next family function when she is next to our PIA) what then she will be imperfect and put to the side in search of the totally perfect pup.

Well odds are this cutie is owned by another YT member and your relative is on the road to probably being scammed.

I just wish she'd realize how dumb she's being. I warned her about brokers, mills and etc. and I think she thinks I'm just jealous and I don't want her getting this girl. I'm just trying to warn her but she doesn't want to hear it.

Well I don't know how she could be any more tan than that. She sure is a doll, I'd just consider the source and try and ignore her comments. Some people aren't happy unless they are lording it over someone else. Your babies are absolutely beautiful.

Am I wrong? She would not let up on this and now I'm curious. It surely doesn't matter to me, but I would like to know if I'm wrong. Pia's head to me has always been without a doubt tan. The roots are darker tan than the ends, but to me it is tan. She said Pia's head is gold. I'm not even sure what gold is considered.


Sorry this is so long. I'm just curious to know if I've been wrong this entire time. Either way I'm not telling her, hahaha!!

I would have taken her comments the same way, even if she didn't mean it that way! Why would you say to someone that each of your girls has something, but this one has it all. To me that's just rude and insensitive!

Here's what the YTCA says regarding head color.


"Head fall:

A rich golden tan, deeper in color at sides of head, at ear roots and on the muzzle, with ears a deep rich tan. Tan color should not extend down on back of neck."

Some people refer to this deeper golden tan as just "gold" with anything lighter being called tan.

I myself have always considered Pia to be gold and Paisley to be tan.

My Brownie is about the same color as Pia and he is considered blue and gold, that is what is says on his registration as well. My Destiny I consider to be blue and tan.

But I have heard the show people say that it is the opposite way around and that most people who are thinking gold when it is really tan.
I just always considered gold to be the darker color and tan to be the lighter color.

My cocker is considered black and tan and her tan matches the color on Destiny so perhaps that is why I always figured it to be tan.

So I am really not sure which way is correct but I have been told by some show people that the darker color is considered tan.

Either way Pia is drop dead gorgeous and your relative would be crazy to think otherwise. I just love that girl, I want one just like her. Your babies are beautiful in everyway, don't let her get to you.

HAHAHA, guys I'm so confused. I always thought if the head was deeper, then it was tan. Paisley's head was all blonde but it's now going more tan (what I consider tan, hahaha). Her ears and cheeks are getting deeper in color and I think with time her entire head will follow. Since she is lighter, I thought this was gold. Geez, I give up!!
