Alright Ladies I need your help!
 
Well I have the chance to adopt a little baby. But he is in Cypress TX and I'm here in Al. Driving isn't the issue except hubby wont let me go on my own beyond a certain point. So I need to know if I can get a yorkie train started! It really is a perfect a situation for him to come into my home. He is a neutard little 7.5 pound baby. And needs to come home to me! lol Hubby is paranoid about me going on a long drive by myself. He said I can go up to go up to 5 hours which is about a little over 300 miles. So I'm still lacking 300 miles!!! He says its too unsure about a young females traveling on her own that far blah blah.:rolleyes: I love my husband but he said its either that or I have to pass it up. I have one more option I'm goign to try but if I can't get it to work then I need help in getting this baby into my arms!!

I am Way off the path But I will Help in anyway I can...
Maybe someone going to the meet up can get him to KC and then someone going that way can bring him closer to you?

What if you were to drive the 300 then stop and rest up at a hotel then do it again!...or do you have anyone who could go with you and take turns driving?

No I don't have anyone to go with me cause he has to work and then I have to be back thursday. I'm trying to do this tuesday or wensday.

Oh wow that would be great if YT could get another Yorkie train going!! I'm in Ohio so I'm a little off course, lol! But I'm sure there will be other Yt'ers living in your path :) Have you considered what airfare might be? With the rising gas prices would it benefit you to just fly over and get him and fly back?!?! Might be worth a shot to look up airfare :)

Its cheaper to drive. It is a 10 hour drive and hubby says I can go 5 hours.

It would cost me 180 to go pick him up all the way and to come back compared to 425 was the cheapest flight I found.

I wish I could help but I wont be able to until Friday unless it was after 530 the other nights. I am not even sure where Cypress is.

I can go all the way to Hammond, La. That will literally cover all but 300 miles. I can get there tuesday and wait the night out till thursday So I have a good break in between. So all I need is for the little guy to get to Hammond!

the problem with weekends is that what I work! I have to be back to for a wedding thursday afternoon. I have tuesday (tomorrow) and Wensday completly open!

ok, if someone got him to Baton Rouge, I could get him to Hammond. I could do more if it werent during the week, but I work full time....
I could possibly go as far as Lafayette, but again it would have to be evening or weekend!

ok I was making some phone calls and now I have sunday afternoon off! so I can make in hammond around 6 or 7 in the evening! that leaves sunday morning possible if it would make it easier!

why don't you just have him shipped? it's around $200-$250 to have him shipped to you. I think the train is great but the thing i worry about is the stress ofhaving a lot of people driving with him all over.Just wascurious if you had thought about shipping. He's big enough to do well on it:)

Sunday is Father's Day. Anyway to do this during the later part of the week or Saturday? I can help with part of the leg from the Houston area towards LA.
I can drive any day except Tuesday....i have a morning doc appointment but am available after noon on tuesday. I know we have lots of YT'ers scattered along the way to LA!!

Hi, Annie here. I do live in Cypress. What is the plan? When & How :) ? Just to know what I'm getting into.. ;) is this lil cutie, potty trained? does he lift leg inside? Tell me more. :) Is he ok staying in an xpen when he is alone? Is he OK with other yorkies?

Ok I can meet Linda (FuFuFashions) in Lake Charles, Louisiana and then I can drive him to Lafayette to meet Donna (TootiesMom)

This would have to be an evening or weekend only....

ETA: I can't do it tomorrow night....I already made plans with Maddie..but any other day throughout the week is fine :D
