Please, please, please. I would not have said anything about moderators except that Livingdustmops brought this up! All this was supposed to be a poll. Why has it strayed? Sorry if some think I was harsh didn't mean to sound that way. I will contact the mod myself. |

All I can say is good luck to all involved and hopefully the dogs interest are the number #1 Priority - not breeding for a buck like the rest of the world seems to be doing these days with yorkies.:( |
I just want to ad that I have 4 Biewer Yorkshire Terriers...it even states that on their registrations, both U.S. and German. I'll keep the rest of my opinions and comments to myself...it's probably better that way...at least for now. :) |
I must have missed something???? Where does it say this is a poll?? I thought you wanted views on wether Biewers should be call biewer yorkies or just biewer terriers. Ok, so this is my view. I think they should be called biewer terriers. They are a beautiful fledgling breed and should not be lumped together with the Yorkie breed. Even the DNA states that they are not purebred Yorkies. I give mega kudos to those that are doing the right thing by develloping this breed correctly and not just for the big time $$. Hopefully someday they will be in an AKC show ring!!!:) |
I dont see a poll:confused: |
My View My Smokey is half and half...or as some say a splitter.....on his dad's German IBC pedigree it states: Biewer Yorkshire Terrier a la Pom Pon....so that is what they see them as.....people can have their own opinions but the admin at IBC will still call them what they want...... |

Thank you for answering the original question. |
"I have to agree - I've seen too many bouncing around home to home because of numerous 'health or fault' reasons - mostly because of breeder misrepresentation and that's a shame for these dogs." Redvette, what are you talking about here--this is a Yorkie problem. I have't seen this with the Biewers. |
I have always admired the Biewer. I see myself some day owning one. I think they are adsolutley gorgeous! |

Took too long to finish editing, so to the original question they are Biewer Terriers. The BTCA has moved on beyond the MARS testing only and has evidence of gene variations between the Yorkie and Biewer. |
