Ugg Zoey was attacked today..... Jeeze I was walking Zoey when I got home from work. I know that there are two other yorkies in the area where we live. Well we are right at the corner before our house and here I see one of the ladies walking her yorkie. So stupid me stops to say hi to his mom. Well he comes over and starts sniffing her and then all of a sudden makes a big old lunge and acting nuts at her...snapping and damn near foaming at the mouth. He is about 6 lbs (which is double her size). Thank god I was a bit iffy and reacted fast. I grabbed her up by her leash and had her suspended in the air. Poor baby all she wanted was to be friends. Little bastard I could have kicked him. His owner was suprised and immediately started apologizing and saying omg he has never acted like that. OK...whatever lady. The damn dog was foaming at the mouth trying to get at her (no exaggeration either). Thank god for that leash/harness combo. I had her up and hanging in the air to get him away from her. My poor dingy of a baby. She was scared spitless and wondering what the hell was going on. So see I guess when we walk them we have to beware of any and all dogs. Jesus even yorkies attack. |
OMGosh! How crazy! I am so sorry. Has your heartrate returned to normal yet? Give Zoey some hugs and kisses from us. |
It has returned to normal and it just amazes me how that dog turned like that. He seemed like he was gonna kiss her and then when nuts. I must attract attack dogs like moths to a flame. Maybe Zoey and I need a bodyguard when we walk. Zoey says thanks for the smooches...she doesn't understand why one of her peoples would not like her. |
Oh my goodness poor little Zoey! You both must have been scared to death! I'm glad she's okay and I'm sending y'all a hug! |
Oh my gosh! Why does this stuff happen to you? Poor Zoey! Give her our love. Marcel is gonna come out there and KICK SOME............mice? |

I'm so glad that she's ok! |
OMG, poor Zoey & poor you. :( I'm so glad that she's ok. :) Tell you what, I will send my Rudy up to protect little Zoey on her walks. He's 15 lbs of solid Yorkie ( as my husband says ) and I bet that other dog won't mess with poor Zoey again. :D:aimeeyork You never cease to make me laugh. :grin2: I just loved it when you said " Little bastard, I could have kicked him. " I read that to my husband and he got a good laugh also. |
Awww...Poor baby! I am glad everything is ok. Give her kisses and hugs from us. |
Oh my goodness!!! Your poor little darling! I would be livid too! My last Yorkie, aged 14 at the time was attacked by another slightly larger terrier (she was about 6lbs) that too came up sniffing her (it was off leash) then all of a sudden it just attacked her! WELL.....quick as a flash i picked this darn dog up by the scruff of its neck and THREW it away from her!!! as soon as it hit the ground it jumped straight back up and was coming back for her again! I had picked her up so it was jumping up at me to get to her! my poor elderly baby was terrified. I was none too polite to the owner either...:thumbdown |

If he weren't a yorkie and I wasn't so stunned I would have probably kicked his ass like the place kicker for the giants. I expect other dogs to attempt to attack not one of our brothers/sisters of the same elite breed. |

That's scary. You just never know which dog is going to attack, You would hope the owners would know and not take any chances. My Pom is snappy although she has never gone after another dog, but I never let her near other dogs when I use to walk her and even around the neighbor kids they know they can only pet her if I am holding her and I hold her face so there is no way she could snap if she wanted to. She never has but I don't trust her so I would never risk it. Glad Zoey is ok |

So glad she is ok. I bet that woman was so embarrassed. I would give her the benefit of the doubt, it is hard to know why one dog acts out against another one. Give Zoey some extra hugs & kisses from us. |

LOL. Sorry that Zoey was attacked.:( Understand your distress. My two senior girls aren't any better. They are cranky with any other dog that comes in their sight. I am very careful that I have them pulled back tight on their leashes when another dog is around so they don't get something started. Don't even trust my own furbabies. Both have issues from their start in life, so I try to not get too upset with them. |
awwe poor zoey!!!! lots of hugs & kissies hope she's ok :) its so strange, ive never seen any yorkie trying to hurt another yorkie. i mean my dog can get very aggressive. he barks at bigger dogs trying to pick fights, he barks at people who's trying to pet him, he barks at my friends he's only seen few times, but never have i've seen my mickey trying to hurt another yorkie. especially a smaller one. he actually protects smaller & younger dogs from other dogs its really funny. |
 .... wow a :aimeeyork attacked her ??? ANd I always thought there sweet and innocent .... I am glad she is ok and so are you - that shure hurts to get there teeth into the skin ..... that's pretty scary ... Hugs and Kisses from us to Zoey ..... :wavey: |
