:aimeeyork24/7:) Unless I have a wedding, party or bbq to go to where Tink cannot go and that is not very often. |
Pretty much all my time away from school/work is spent with them! I work about 20hours a week, go to school full time, and on tues. and thursdays I'm gone (at school) from 10am until about 9pm (don't worry my fiance is home with them). I hate being away from them :( On my days off I spend it with Rocky and Bella, bringing them with me where ever I go, unless their not allowed and we HAVE to go somewhere, or we just stay home and hang out around the house all day. I totally don't mind staying at home all weekend just so I can spend quality time with them :) |

I have 3 yorkies and 1 weinriemer he is 87 lbs. The little dogs rule him but they all get time with us. I use to take the 1 yr old yorkie with me all the time but now with 3 I have to choose which one goes with me. Otherwise sometimes they will fight for the attention or space. So we take turns. Plus I have them so spoiled they go to the vet and places at different times so I can go and treat them to custurd. Oh and they know all about the drive thru and what that is about. I love spoiling my little ones and sleeping with them. But they also know how to sleep in a crate. That way when we take them anywhere they aren't freaked out when they have to sleep in the crate. I had my stepmom and brother not like it when I took the last one I got to my mom's house and brought her in because she was new and we had to watch her from stressing out. She was like not even 2lbs. They both didn't like it and said something about bringing the dog and not wanting it in the house. I almost left, but I also bit my tongue and made the decision not to ever go back there. They can come to my home and they will respect my privelages with my dogs being out or not come. My dogs are loyal and a better companion then sometimes even family or friends. Oh well guess we all choose what we want. My mom is so lonely and she doesn't know what she is missing by loving one of these great dogs......Oh its just there loss!!!!!!! |
Right now i am with them pretty much all the time, i was working this past month but i quit and when i was working my bf was with them. I'm taking a summer class hopefully but that will only be like twice a week and thru out the yr i am a full time student but only go to school twice a week as well, i put my schecule like that to be with the furbabies as much as possible. I love being with them! And i take them with me everywhere i can. |
I don't work outside my home, so I'm with my babies most of the time and even feel guilty going to the grocery store and leaving them at home...now that's got to stop! I have to go out sometimes. I take them with me, everywhere that I can. I wish the world were a dog friendlier place. I wouldn't have a dog if I didn't want to or couldn't spend time with it. I know people work and they have to leave their babies at home during the day, I understand that. Even when I'm on the computer, I'm either throwing a ball or have one of them in my lap. While I make dinner, they are in the kitchen with me, getting treats or I end up on the floor playing with them and they sleep with me at night. I felt the same way about my skin kids. Either hubby or I were home with them. I didn't want someone else raising them. So, that's kind of Yorkie Mom I am too :) |
I curious... To those of you who are able to take your dogs to work with you, what kind of job do you have? |
All Day and all night :D Am retired !;) |
During the fall and spring I have classes for a couple of hours a day but I always come home in between to let them out to potty and run around, even if for only 30 minutes. During the summer (right now), I have class for one hour in the morning. I also work 3-4 days a week for 3-4 hours. Usually, my boyfriend or other roommate is home to play with them at least SOME part of the time that I'm not there. When I'm home, they get either a walk a day or they go to the dog park for an hour or so. Some days they get both. I don't usually take them places with me unless we're doing something specifically for them - like going to a pet store. I used to take Franklin in his carrier with me shopping once or twice a week but he's gotten too heavy. Maggie is too heavy as well. They do stay home alone for quite a bit but I try to make up for it when I'm home. |
I feel like we are joined at the hip. Or I should say lap. I am constantly with mine but Kayla has gotten where she will scratch my legs or even whine to be held... Oh, she is one spoiled little girl. I never take mine around other dogs, like the dog park etc. because they have each other to play with and I'm too afraid of them catching something. |

I know it would sound sick to someone on the outside, but we schedule things around Seth and Sasha.:rolleyes: |
I work from home so Onni is with me 24/7. As soon as she has all her shots, I will take her with me away from the house. But right now when I do have to be away from her (which is not often) I have my daughter baby site her. |
