Is there any good stain (poo, pee and vomit) stain remover?
 
I swear nothing I tried works very well, or it works for urine but not for poo, and none of them seem to work for vomit. With 3 dogs it seems there is always an accident to clean up. Ive tried some of the products at pet stores but none of them seem to do very well. I steam clean my carpets once a month but still need something for the stains inbetween. Any ideas?

I use a mixture of ammonia, vingager(sp?), and water. This seems to help but it doesn't seem to completely get the stain out. If I run a black light over the stain I can see it but it can't be seen with the naked eye.

This may be a stupid question, but where did you find ammonia?!? I've been wanting to make a mixture like the one you use (because I hear it works very well) for a long time now, but I can NEVER find ammonia anywhere! :mad: Any suggestions as to where I can buy it?

have you tried Natures Miracle??? IT WORKS WONDERS!!! :) Ive cleaned poop up with it and it came out for me... good luck!

Yes! Try Nature's Miracle! It's amazing! You can get it at any pet store. I use it all the time for stains and it removes the urine smell. It has natural enzymes that eat away at organic substances, leaving it smell-free! It's even suppose to remove blood and grease stains.

I've heard using ammonia is bad because is attracts the dogs back there and they want to pee there again.

Another recommendation for Nature's miracle.

I have cats....when cats puke...it's red. Nature's miracle gets that out...nothing else ever had.

We use the bissell spot bot and it works really well to get stains and odors out of carpets and it is small enough to store in a closet. They have a pet formula to use and you add an optional oxygen solution that they have and the stains are completely gone!!! It has been a lifesaver since we have to use it about twice a week for "oopsies!" around the house :)

I use "Get Serious" stain and odor extractor. It is sold at Petsmart. Works great! Microwave it and use it hot to get up old or stubborn stains.

It's in the grocery store, on the cleaning products aisle.

I have been using Natures Miracle for YEARS.... even on non-pet stains.

Wal mart usually has it with the cleaning products and most grocery stores carry it.

I have also heard this but I think because of the vinager, there is no ammonia smell. My dogs don't usually go back to the same spot.

I so Love yr avatar of those cute babies.....looks like they r kissing!:p Really want to get a spot bot. I hate dragging out the huge carpet cleaner!

I use this too!!! It has been a life saver!! I have a Bichon that pukes all the time and it sure clean up the mess. It is worth every penny that I spent on it.

you can get ammonia at Walmart....just make sure to get the clear Ammonia

(their brand)....it is very very cheap

If Nature's Miracle can't get it out, I use aerosol Spot Shot instant stain remover, it can get out anything, including greasy types of stains such as lipstick. I wouldn't use ammonia on carpet, it might get out the stain, but it's possible you could damage the fiber of the carpet, and that area might look different even if the "stain" is gone.

I use resolve foaming action carpet cleaner. I spray it on and blot dry with a towel, then respray area and let it air dry. The stain disappears by the time the product is dry.

This product also worked wonders when my dumb neighbor :mad: spilled Red Wine on my tan sofa!!! :eek:

Nature's Miracle and it works for Izzy (puke and little presents once in a while) and I have 3 cats who puke regularly:rolleyes: and it works on that as well. I buy the orange version and it smells nice!

I have also heard nothing but great things about the Bissell Spot cleaner machine so I'll have to get one. ;)

Oh yea... Simple Green Cleaner works really well on stains too...but you have to dilute it really well with water and then use lots of water or a steam vac/carpet cleaner to make sure you soak up all the cleaner. I have never had a problem with it staining but my friend used it and it discolored her carpet...I think it was because she let it soak in and just air dry instead of sucking it up and rinsing with water.

I would test it on the carpet in a closet first to make sure that the green color of the cleaner doesn't leave a mark on your carpet.

Natures miracle is great for the big jobs..it is expensive for everyday..I llike folex too. It is good for stains..just spray and it disappears. Natures miracle will remove the odor the best..I tiled my entire house so I would not have to deal with this ever again..As many bottles of natures miracle I had purchased in the past cost me at least the same amount as it was to just tile everything..haha..good luck.

And why is ALWAYS on the CARPET....never the laminate, the tile, nor the linoluem...it must be carpet.

Just a tip for ya. Never use ammonia to clean with when you have a dog. It will actually cause them to pee on the floor or carpet. Ammonia is in the pet urine when they smell the ammonia you clean with, they will think it's the place to potty. ;)

I love Nature\'s Miracle...it truly is a miracle cleaner...I have also tried Urine Be Gone and that works well on the stains also. I also read on here a while back that the powered borax put on the urine will draw it up out of the carpet. I\'d give both products a :thumbup:
