| Having A Problem I am having a problem with Charlie. He eats his poo. The vet recommended meat tenderizor, which i tried. He doesn't like the taste of it. He wouldn't eat his food hardly at all, so a full day went by with no food. The next day, he hardly ate his food again, i had to hand feed him and he only ate a little. Last night he hadn't eaten his food all day and he started shaking really badly and running and hiding under things like he was scared. I gave him the nutrical and put some wet food in his dry food and he did eat a little of that, but certainly not the recommended amount. Today, he's not really eating again. I sat down with him about an hour ago and hand fed him quite a bit... but i can't keep doing this everyday. Any advice? It's too hot here for him to not be eating, and i'm worried he's going to have a hypoglycemic attack while we're not here to help him through it.

| I think there is something else you can give them to make their poo taste bad so they don't eat it, but I cannot remember what it is. It is more important that he eat so I wouldn't try the meat tenderizer again. Hoepfully someone else will have an answer. Can you dispose of the poo after he goes right away? Just an idea which I know won't work if you are not there, bu tmaybe the rest of the time. There might be something on the internet too. Good luck. |
