| Catch Me If You Can! Can anyone give me some good advice as to how to catch my little friend when he is playing in the house. It seems that Remi does so well in obedience class and with his lessons. However, when he is footloose and fancy free racing around the house, he just loves to go in the opposite direction of where I am. I do know that his smart little Yorkie mind tells him that if he permits me to pick him up that it will mean that perhaps he will have to go into his crate or his X-pen, so I have been trying to outsmart him by being non-chalant about why I am picking him up. I give him a treat and then put him down again so that he can go racing around or playing with his toys. so far this has not worked. Help! I need him to come to me especially when I am in a hurry to leave the house. I have to start early to catch him at his own game. In other words, friends, how to I outsmart my Yorkie???? |

| food...they will always respond to food. I just call their names and tell them house or get in your house. They usually come running and once they are in, I praise them and give them a treat-treat.

| Thank you. I will try using more of the verbal commands as you suggest with the treats. Much appreciated. |
