haha mine would have to be a lil bit bigger than a mug... Bentley's 3.5lbs and theres no way he'd fit!!

Mine won't fit in a mug now either, well, maybe Ava, but here is a picture of Hefner at 10 weeks...his first official portrait thet the breeder took.

AKC calls them "TOYs" which I have always been "put off by". They are not toys any more than they are teacups imo, they are dogs. I find the "toy" classiication more offensive than the teacup one, but I don't get upset about either because they are just descriptions that don't mean much to me.

When people use the term "teacup", they are usually referring to anything that will be less than 5 lbs as an adult in my opinion. Some breeders who use the term define it in their advertising. Target includes small yorkies in their "teacup" sizing chart for their dog clothes.

I cannot wait to hear the emails you get for these puppies It should be hilarious.

Until I joined this site... Honestly I have learned a LOT from this site that I never knew. I explained to my husband lastnight in all my infinite wisdom what the facts were about teacup yorkies < giggles > I never thought of it before my nana used to raise toy poodles and I never once would have thought of any of them as a teacup, but some were pretty tiny.. I also never would have known that the tiny yorkies can come with so many health problems I honestly wanted one of the small ones. But alas Cheeky has changed all that for me.

Something I was wondering... since I no longer own a yorkie am I banned from this site? By the way one thing I learned is you do not own a yorkie... yorkies own YOU!! :D

Big Gulp, LMAO!! That is great! How'd I miss this thread?? You guys are crackin me up! I guess Bo falls somewhere between the Industrial Size Drum Yorkie and the Pitcher O' Beer Yorkie, LOL! We're far too common to be part of the china service!!

Yes, I did place that ad. I did get one person write me. I had stated in my ad that there are no such things as teacups! and she asked me all about it. I wrote back and tried to explain the standards of yorkies, I think I must have done a good job, because she was thanking me for all the information. But No body has ever written to ask about TEAPOTS!!

Dear karen, i am writing to inquire about a teapot yorkie. I would like my yorkie to have a ""babydoll" spout and a sturdy handle. I am looking to show my teapot so i was wondering what kind of guarantee you give, say, if my teapot yorkie were to crack? I know these types of yorkies have been known to dripple over cups and leak, and i was wondering if this has been a problem in members of your breeding stock. i would also really like a few teaCUP yorkies to complete my set, oh and if you had a tray that i could show them on that would be great too...
I hope i hear back from you soo, i am really excited about getting a "teaset"

I'm am totally cracking up here as I read your post!! :D I must be honest with you I do have a problem with leaking in the males.. As far as the cracks go, I'm the only one that has cracked :rolleyes: But what a grand idea to have a teapot and a few teacups.. Not sure if there is such a thing as a tray yet, but I'm sure if you wait a bit longer, someone as BOLD as me will come up with one!!
There are no guarantees on my teapots, as they are a unique breed, There are only a few TRUE teapots in exsitence, to date. So if you want to be the first in your neighborhood to own a teapot, hurry up as they are going fast... :p
