so how much does your yorkie weigh? everyone has a preference. the smaller or the larger. so what is the average weight owned by yorkie talkers? |
heh, we both have a little Bentley :) Bentley's about 4 1/2 lbs right now at 7 months - Bobby was around 7lbs at this age so I guess it can definitely vary.. |
Jake is 4 1/2 lbs. at almost two years, and Jackson is 6 1/2 lbs. at 9 mos.:) |
Kuma is 9lb at almost 5y and his sister Kaylee is about 2.7 at 13weeks she has her appt with her vet tomorrow so will see how much she weights now. |
Ricky is 2 lbs. 8 oz. at 1-1/2 years old Desi is 6lbs at 3 years Millie is 6 lbs at 2 years. |

Bentley is 7.5-8lbs and almost 3 years. Louie is 3lbs and 20 weeks. I personally prefer them a more robust at 5.5-8 lbs range. |

My preference is right about 5.6 lbs to 6.6 lbs. More important to me is the structure, not really the weight. I don't really like a terribly leggy, not a terribly narrow Yorkie. I like mine sturdy! Ava is 3.6 pounds, 9" x 9" with a 7" neck @ 2 years (too smal) Nemo is 5.6 pounds, 10" x 11" with a 12" neck @ 7 years. |
does your 9lbs seem big? my bentley is 6lbs and I am looking at a new little guy and his parents are 12lbs and 7lbs. I am not really wanting a tiny guy but i like about 6lbs. I am afraid of getting him and him being really big. what do you think? |

My Yorkie is 9 weeks old and 3.2 pounds. I think she is going to be a med. sized Yorkie, however, I do not know how they grow. I hope she stays med. though. I like the fact that she is so healthy and looks good for her size .Her brothers were tinier then her. I am thinking she may have been born first. |
Kacee weighs 3.2 pounds at 7 months old. In my opinion, she is too small and I worry about her constantly. On the other hand, A.J, my schnoodle, weighs 9.5 pounds at 2 years old and I think he is the perfect size! |
Zoe is 6 and Peppee is 3.5..I like them both. Peppe is just as tall as zoe just much smaller boned. Honestly, I don't even think about their sizes because they don't act like little dogs. I am not overly worried about either of them. I think they are both perfect! |

Fender, whether your dog has been spayed or not, even without seeing your dog, I can tell you that your pup has not reached his/her max weight right now. I could be wrong, but you'll see what I'm saying around 16-24 months. |

Jaya - 10 months old - 2 and half pounds Jenna - 7 months old - 4 pounds They are exactly the same size in height and length, Jenna is just more sturdy and has meat on her ...its much easier and more enjoyable to play around with her. Jaya is all bone and total lean muscle (so lean you can barely tell its there!)...and I am always overly cautious with her... its even more difficult to cuddle with her because she's so thin. The vet says she's fine, but I just wish she was chubbier. From my (minimal) experience...... I would never again go for such a small yorkie because its so stressful for me... I would totally recommend getting a yorkie that is estimated to be 4-5 lbs or more. I can totally tell the difference between Jaya and Jenna even though they are the same size... the weight makes a big difference. I'm in a constant state of fear for Jaya... I just hope she puts on more weight, but she's been at a standstill for about four-five months now. Vet says not to worry..but I worry... |
Lexie currently weighs 5.2 lbs. and Tucker is bigger than her, but hasn't been recently weighed so I would assume 7 or 8 lbs. Wow he's my big boy! He's such a sturdy guy and I love that! Especially since we'll probably want kids within the next 3 years or so. :) |

Ben and Barney are from the same litter...Ben weighs in at 5.4 lbs and Barney weighs in at 6.3lbs. Barney is solid as a rock and a low rider...lol Ben is skinny-almost anorexic looking now that he has his summercut.... Tia is 2 lbs and 10 weeks old...Her mom was 5.8lbs and dad was 3.8lbs....We are hoping that she is Barney's size...Keep your fingers crossed Joyce |
Crosley is 17-18lbs and she is 6 yrs. old ( she's a Yorkie Poo ) Wrigley is 6lbs even and she will be 2 in June Camden is 5lbs and she's almost 2 1/2. |
My vet insist Momiji is 3.8lb but everyone who seen Momiji said she can't be more than 3lb. :eek: So she is between 3-4lb!!! She is bit small in my opinion but since she is healthy, I have no complain!!! :thumbup: |
Storm weighed 6 pounds 5 ounces at 14 1/2 weeks. I like him being this big though. I have 2 boys 10 and under, and Storm gets right in there with them and rough and tumbles. Within this last week, Storm has learned to jump up and off my bed, which if he was smaller, I would worry about that. He races down my front steps and then stops and jumps off the side about 3 steps from the bottom. He just does not have time to go all the way down...LOL! He weighed 4.8 and 11 1/2 weeks, so I am thinking maybe Storm will be about 10 pounds, give or take...and I think that is good! |
Bear is only seven weeks&he already weighs 2.45 pounds!!! I'm guessing he's going to be a big boy :) |
Pippin was 4lbs 3 ounces at 5months old. He we will be 6 months old next week and I estimate him to be about 4 1/2 lbs. |

Hot Rod weighed just at 3 lbs last vet visit a month ago @ 7 1/2 mos. He's gain some weight since, he feels heavier and more sturdy. I think that he will stay under 4 lbs grown. |
