My sister's Pom does the same thing!! I call it the hamster syndrome!!! LOL:p

Kiele wont eat off of anything but the floor and i have to set it in front of her in small portions! lol yall have it bad? hahaha

I thought I was the only one. When we brought Miko home, Nikki (chihuahua/dachsaund mix) was the only inside furbaby, she was 4, Miko was 7 weeks, so when I fed them I would sit next to Miko while he ate so that Nikki wouldn't go over and eat his food. Well Miko is now 6 will be 7 in July, and he will not eat unless I am sitting next to him, now I don't have to sit on the floor anymore but I do have to be sitting. He will bark at me until I follow him to his food, then he will look at me and then look at the chair, then look at me then look at the chair, until I finally sit down. He is basically telling me to sit down, once I sit he will start eating, of course he will continue to turn around and look at me to make sure I'm watching him, if I try to read a book or magazine he will bark at me until I put it down and then he will continue to eat. My DH said he is going to record me one day so that everyone can see how Miko has me wrapped around his little paw. My other 4 furbabies will eat just fine without me, it's just Miko.

They'll eat no matter who is around, but everytime Rocky is done eating he has to come and give me kisses, I tell him he needs to give Daddy kisses because it's Daddy who buys the food:p

Different Diets
 
My reasons for watching them eat are a bit different... My two :2pig:piggies, :aimeeyorkNygee & :aimeeyorkGypsy, will gulp everything in sight, if I don't watch them, they'll even eat :aimeeyorkGizmo's food, he's a slow eater, and usually leaves some for later, but they like to eat together... So when they are done, I put his bowl somewhere they both don't reach... Sometimes when I'm busy and not watching, they keep their eye on me to eat his food!! This occurred today,I saw food in Gizmo's bowl, and I stepped away for a moment, and when I returned, his bowl was empty... Nygee & Gypsy both has a guilty look, but I had no clue which of the 2 did it... Probably both!!
Also they all have different diets, so it's important that I watch them!

OMG yes. I am glad I am not the only one. Tia came to me at almost a year old. She was malnurished and would not eat. I started hand feeding her. She's now over 2 yrs. old and absolutely refuses to eat wet food unless I feed her by hand. And, when we got Jersey she was almost like a wild dog and afraid of everything. She would grab and run. I started sitting next to her to comfort her and now she will only eat if "I" am sitting next to her. Yes, we created the little monsters. LOL. I have five and put th plates down and sit with them until they are all done. Hubby told me "you better not die, because you don't think I'll do this do you, I'll open a can of laddie boy and say come and get it." LOL. Of course he's teasing. I was late coming home one day and there he was sitting there with my youngest hand feeding Tia and sitting in the middle of them all. They are so full of poopy. Ha ha. Elaine

I dont have this issue but it seems i have heaard about it.....Tell Buddy I said be a good boy and eat alone!!! lol :p
