Has anyone noticed..... I surely cannot be the only one.... but lately ive seen people on eBay as well as some YTers selling clothes from Walmart, The Dollar Store, etc for much more. I guess this is how you make money but just irks me for some reason. I saw a $6.97 dress at walmart being sold by a YTer for $17 (same name brand and everything) and numerous dollar store dresses (ive seen the name brand there) for $24.99. I understand that people need to make money but i just feel bad for those buying them...maybe they dont get it in their area....] just had to get that off my chest |

I hardly go on ebay anymore - the deals are GONE.....I think when it started they really had a good idea - but it doesn't take long before people take advantage - and Ebay makes money off every single sale... so now it's just an online STORE not really an 'auction site' like it started out as. man - back in the day you could really find deals....now you have to weed thru so many 'stores' and regular prices that it's just not worth it unless you have something really specific in mind and they have really good prices - but then again - the shipping charges are usually jacked. As long as whoever is doing that kind of thing keeps it on Ebay and not here - then I say WHATEVA.... |
I don't see a problem wth it. I really don't see how its ripping people off the seller is just finding a way to make money... the buyer can choose whether they want to buy it or not. I know often times I'll run into a really great sale.. and I'll buy a bunch of stuff and resell it on YT. I try to make the prices less than what someone would have paid for it full price, but still price it enough that I can make a bit of money as well. I have sold some things from the dollar store before.. but for just what it cost me.. i can't imagine selling something from the $ store for $24. |

I LOOOOOOVE Ebay!! I have gotten SO many great deals on things there!! I have gotten so many video games 60 percent off used, while the stores here only sell them like 30% off when used. I have gotten TONS of great neckties and great suits too in pristine condition. Many were brand new with tags. I don't know about everybody else, but Ebay is one of my favorite sites. |

I seen it a few time on YT... They buy it for $8 at places like Walmart but sell it for about $12-$15 and then they want more for shipping. |
Sometimes I have found things at the dollar store that came from other places, like ones I got this tin that had been sold at hallmark for like $7 or $8 and once I found this childrens toy that I had previously bought for my son for $13 but it seems to me that I don't think I've ever gotten something at the dollar store that was worth $25. Alot of times I think they get overstocks or something so you never know, maybe sometimes the people didn't get their items from the dollar store? But I suspect, a lot of times they do. |
Have you seen the person on eBay that sells the Walmart and Target stuff for $20-30 a piece?! She normally takes a picture of the stuff with a large pink rose. |

It should be up to the buyer to do their homework before purchasing, I think |

There are alot of people who can't get to Walmart so they buy from the internet. How do you think sellers get their inventory I buy from I See Spot, Hip Doggie, Oscar Newman, Puppy Zzang, Kwigy-Bo Wholesale and sell them at a higher price then I get them for. That is the law of supply and demand. That is the retail market! I have seen the lady with the pink rose on Ebay I have purchase from her myself. I purchased a carrier from her for I believe $45.00 plus shipping it was gorgeous I was so happy.......then I saw it at my local Petsmart for $18.00! You know what....I lost out becaue I didn't see it there first. Not all stores/websites sell their items for the same price either. I get some things from Walmart just the things that I find cute and don't think are out on the market. I do charge for my time and gas but I charge exact shipping and don't bump up for handling. Lulu Pink use to be exclusive to their website (Lulu Pink) but since they stopped selling Walmart picked up their line and it is alot cheaper than we use to get it wholesale. I saw a pink lounger bed at Walmart for $24.99 then saw it on Ebay and other websites for $60.00 plus. Some people will buy it because they like it and don't find it in their area. A shopper has to be wise and look for quality first then the price. I look for variety on a daily bases I am negotiating currently with various vendors to offer different items for sale. I am not in the market to make a killing just to cover my expenses which include ink, paper, postage, supplies, boxes, web hosting, advertising, phone calls, my time and gas then have a little left over. I have lost on a few deals when it comes to shipping but that is called trial and error. Again the consumer has to know what they want and where they can get it. Sorry for the rant but I just hate generalizations. |

that's why I will never buy from YT. I only buy books from ebay and I buy my doggie items at wholesale |
I have noticed this too, but don't say anything because if I'm not going to buy it, it's really not my business. I'm glad you mentioned it though, I've seen it for awhile and have thought I was the only one! |

This is just wholesale/retail business sense. I think the thing is that Walmart just has such good deals that it is basically wholesale to many. I bet the people buying these walmart products would never step foot in the store! HA! There is also the convenience factor. There are many people who do not step foot into any store, as they buy everything online now. Free enterprise at it's finest! Gotta love it. :) |
i have surely noticed this and i can't stand it. i wish i could warn everyone who tries to bid or buy it, but unfortunately.. you can't :( |
Can I ask why it would be a sin to make a killing off of a sale on ebay? (no, I haven't sold stuff from Walmart) People people, it's a free-enterprise country (thank goodness). I say all to ya! In fact, perhaps I'll do it too! I've notice they have end of season outfits for dogs on clearance...just have to hold onto them for another season or two and then they're in again. Join 'em! |

It's hard to explain without seeming as if we have no idea about supply and demand. Supply and Demand is common sense, no offense to others. |
