Ears are finally going up! 1 Attachment(s) Yea! Hot Rod's ears are finally standing up, I think, I hope! He's 8 mos old. I only had his ear hair trimmed a month ago at the groomers and I thought it was too late. They have been going up and down for about 2 weeks now and I had started to tape them for a few hours a day. Poor baby scratch himself so much I stopped taping. But I think that they will be permanently up after all! He's been chewing a lot lately so I guess he is teething still. Now I can't wait til all his ear hair has grown back. :D |
YAY !! it is very exciting ! |

I know what you mean! I was just starting to like the idea of Franklin's ears staying down, but lately they've been kind of perky. I might have the groomer shave his ears next week and see if they stand up completely! He's 7 months so you're giving me hope.... :D |

I'm so excited for you! My baby's ears also just went up this week! |
YAY hotrod!!! I must admit tho...I think you are just precious with them down too. Either way I wanna grab your cheeks and kiss your lil nose!!!!! |
too cute! |
Zoeybear's went up and down many times. After teething, they stayed up tho. It looks like your guy's are up really good now! |
Congrats! I think that the ears are way cuter up...when I am checking out a future mate for my girls I prefer a dog whose ears are up. I also think that you have to keep the hair trimmed on the ears all the time, so the weight of the hair doesn't push them down. He is a cute little guy though!!!! |

Yay for Hot Rod!!! What a cute lil face he has! |
1 Attachment(s) I just asked about yorkies' ears and when they generally stand up. It seems there is no one time table. My sasha is only 9 weeks so maybe it's too early to start worrying. I'm new here so I'm going to attempt to attach a picture of her. |
Oh she is a sweetheart. I am not sure when they are suppose to be up. Some say early like 6 to 8 weeks, some say 4-6 months, then I have heard about 10 months. So I don't really know. I do know about shaving the fur on the ears 1/2 way down but that's really all I know about the ears. I have one dog with the ears down(he's 6 years) one that 1 ear stands up and the other is down, then I have the baby, and sometimes her ears stand, and sometimes they don't!!:confused: |

WTG!!! HOT ROD!!! What a Handsome Lil Man!!;) |
Baxter's are going up when he's excited and stay up for a little while. So i haven't given up hope. |
Don't give up hope, my babies ears didn't stand until he was 7 months. I was told that if they weren't standing by 6 months they would not stand up. So I to gave up hope, then one morning when I got up with Chase both of his ears were standing up so perky and have been up ever since. I would have loved my baby just the same if his ears didn't stand, but given a preference I preferred the erect ears. |
Yea, there is still hope!!!!:D |

his hair. I softly folded his ear to the front and taped around them. I have seen where people connect the ears in the center after they are taped. I didn't leave the tape on for more than 12 hours at a time though. I did this at night so he slept with the tape and then for a little while in mornings. He would scratch and I felt really bad. I stopped taping them once he scratched himself good and broke the skin. The groomer told me that the hair could still pull them down so I will probably just keep the top 1/3 or so shaved for now. Good Luck. |
