I think it is a Cooper Hawk from the pictures I saw when I looked it up online. There are at least two that I know of. One of them sits on my roof. I just hope the don't have a nest.
I think you may have something about the feeders. I keep a large bird feeder beside the patio because the dogs love to lay on the window seat and watch the birds. And it DOES attract a lot of those doves. Looks like the first thing I need to do is get rid of the bird feeder :( Quote:

| Thanks for those links. The second one was VERY helpful, although I'm not sure I can see myself outside at 6 am banging a bunch of pots together, LOL. But there were some really good ideas there that I will try. Quote:

They WILL try for small pets - I know someone who lost her little yorkie and she was right there with her - devestating !! :(:(
please be careful and stay right with them - it wouldn\'t hurt to use a leash till the season is over - if it\'s ever over ....that way they\'re always close to you.
too bad you can\'t rig some kind of enclosed area for them - complete with cover | I thought of using a leash but even if it got her on the leash, it would kill her. Their claws can rip right into them, and she\'s just skin and bones as it is. I like the idea of the enclosed covered area. That\'s something I think I could put together. Thanks for the great idea!
Thanks for the great suggestions everyone! I knew YT would be able to help!!! :thumbs up |
