Sometimes people will say it is not there dog when it is because they dont want to get in trouble, just a thought. Why was she walking the dog if it was not hers if she just found it and is walking it then she needs to take responsibility. If she was walking it for someone then by law she has to tell you who the owner is. |

Our next door neighbor told me today that his American Stafforshire Terrier had been kicked out of doggie daycare because she attacked another dog. This dog worries me to death because when she is out in the back yard she throws herself at our fence whenever our dogs are out. The fence is 6 feet high but we worry that she will somehow get over it and kill our dogs. The neighbors simply do not see that she is a terrible accident waiting to happen. She is not very friendly to people and her eyes have no expression at all. Very scary. I am so sorry for your friend. This should never have happened. |
Omg! I'm so sorry for your friend! I think i would have grabed that pit bull and squeezed his neck until he died errrrrrr sorry I hate pit bulls the only dogs I really really really hate and think this world would be better off without! If I see one I snatch Callie up with no hesitation! |
I'm am so sorry for your friend's loss. I'll keep her in my thoughts and prayers. |
The simple fact is that Staffy Bulls, Pit bulls, and most other bulls should never be trusted with other dogs. They were bred to fight other dogs, and even if not trained to do so, its still in their instincts.. just like rat hunting is yorkie's instinct. Dog Parks, day care, etc is NOT the place for "bully" breeds. I own one and she is never off leash anywhere other than my own backyard. I make the groomers muzzle her when she goes in. If we are on a walk, I avoid all other dogs. So far she has been fine w/ other dogs, but given her ancestry, I just don't like to take that chance! I'd rather be safe than sorry. Unfortunately many pit owner don't realize that. |
I too am so sorry for your friend's loss. I seriously cannot even imagine. My baby is my everything as well and I can completely understand her devistation. My thoughts and prayers are with her. I would seriously question the lady that was walking the pitbull. She could very well be the owner and realizing that she is in a lot of trouble if she owns up to being the owner. Have the police checked up on her and her story? Big Big Hugs to your friend. My heart hurts for her. :hug60::hug60::hug60: |

This is devastating news and something all yorkie owners fear. My deepest sympathies to your friend. I am so afraid of pit bulls. They can never be trusted. |

You totally have legal rights in this matter!!!! |
I am so sorry your friend has encountered such a horrific experience. I would follow up with the police and see what information they can provide. Possibly consult an attorney |
I AM SOOOO SORRY!! My little Gizmo was attacked and killed by another dog, so I understand the pain. I was, however, fortunate enough to have cooperative owners. They had their dog put down and payed for Epsilon and all his puppy shots. Had they not been cooperative, I would\'ve taken them to court. Please give your friend my condolences. |
