Hun, you are not at fault. And even with your work schedule, it sounds like Dior knew how much you loved him. What a happy boy he sounds like. I wish I could give you a hug. |

i'm sorry for what that pit bull did BUT you cant lump all pits together. I have on and off rescued pit bulls. I also have rottweilers for years. My dogs are gentle giants. I have some major health issues that I need a larger dog for help. Sometimes I cant get up on my own so I need help with it. I would trust any pit bull or rottie with my life. I Have been bite by a min pincher and a 4 labs. Pit bulls can be VERY sweet dogs. How can People want to ban a certain breed? Without my dogs I couldnt get up some days. I want ever have anything but rottweilers or pits. I am getting a yorkie as well. |

But this discussion of pit bulls is inappropriate here. This dear lady is grieving the loss of her precious Dior. This is what the thread is about. All of you need to stop hijacking this thread!!! :thumbdown:thumbdown -- If you want to have this discussion, go start a new thread. This owner has not said one thing against the breed in general - that has been other posters. I believe every single person who has taken this thread and turned it in to a discussion about violent dogs needs to apologize to Dior's owner and the OP. To Dior's momma -- I am so sorry that you have to witness how unfeeling others can be about your loss. I am praying for you that you find a place of peace. |
Dear Sandy Dear Sandy, please believe me when I say my heart is broken for you. I want to apologize if my previous post did not convey the way I feel for you. I focused on my feelings more than I did on yours.I do not own a Yorkie as of yet [still resarching], however I have lost a beloved pet, [not to violence though]. Please, please, please believe me when I tell you I remember you in my prayers and I just said a quick one . Sandy I pray that you find peace in your grieving [it will take time] and to rember the good and loving times you have had with little precious Dior, prayerfully yours, dw:animal-pa |

Update - I am so upset All, I am disgusted that the pit bull was release to the owner and I wasn't even notified by Dept of Health! I got a letter from my city council instead and all they did was that the dog is to walk with leash and muzzle in public! How is this justice? It attacked once in middle of busy street in NYC.. killed my Dior and bite me! I am just so davestated on this decision and I am just besides myself... HELP! How can this vicious dog killed my dog and attack me ... all they do is return it to owner like nothing happened! i am about to have a nervous break down.... |

I'm sure sorry that all of this happened. Again, my heart aches for your loss and for the pain you have been through. It just doesn't seem fair. We can only hope that the owner will exercise responsibility and keep the muzzle & leash on the dog from now on. I would be completely devistated too and although it is so difficult to move on after such a loss, I hope you feel some peace soon. I just think of how lucky the next yorkie will be that gets to come be your baby and be loved so much by you....that will be a very special puppy. I know that no puppy could ever replace Dior, but I hope with time, you will find a place in your heart for another puppy. :big_hug: |
how sad that they did not do more to help you or to notify you. Who will make sure that the dog is muzzled? What happens if this dog does this again. Given the fact that this pit bull also bit you, I can't believe they didn't do anything about this menace. I am still heartbroken for you over the loss of Dior |
i am sooo sorry for your loss :( i just dont understand how people can have dangerous dogs - they need to be WELL trained before getting them - regardless if that wasnt the owner who was walking him. he obviously wasnt trained. im sooo sorry :( i cannot believe this. do a lawsuit. find out the owner (thru the lady who was walking him) and have that dog put to sleep and pay for another dog (obv dior will never be replaced) but thats the least that they can do. so sad. <3 |
