Boy vs Girl Dog
 
I was just wondering if there was any major/noticeable difference between a boy dog & a girl dog, personality wise??

Also, which one is more of a cuddler? & which one is more energetic??

Thanks for any info.

The cuddler and energy thing is more about the individual dog. I have had both and both are great in those areas.

It just all comes down to the dogs temperment.

I agree each dog is individual. I have had both and some were cuddlier than others.

IMO, I have always found the boys to be more of the cuddler's and momma's boys. I find the girls to be a bit more independent, although they still love to be w/you, but sometimes like to just be by themselves and can be a bit moody................I guess maybe just like us!!!!:rolleyes:

I have a mama's boy here, may be he is my first dog, and he was (is) always with me all the time. My girl is more independent, she is always out in the living room playing with toys while my boy always sticks under my feet while I am in the kitchen.

I agree with the posts above, it really depends on the individual personality. I have both male and female cuddlers. I also have a couple real energizer bunnies and a couple not so energizy bunnies, LOl.

I've never had anything other than a female - and they've always been the most cuddly, sweet and adorable little pups on planet Earth~~

I have both. I have always thought boy's are the cutlers. Girl are like us woman they want the loving on there terms.

Boy's want the loving all the time. But each dogs is deferent.

I love my boys. And i love my girl's but i think the girls are even more stubborn to.

I think each individual dog is different. I have two boys who are both big-time mama's boys. One is very sweet and wants to cuddle all the time. The other will cuddle at HIS convenience lol. But, both have very sweet dispositions. I got them from the same breeder, but they have different parents.

Both of mine are boys! They are definitely mama's boy! They always want my 100% attention and loves to cuddle!

Hopefully soon, but the thing is I can't decide. I thought I was going to get a girl yorkie a month ago from my friend because he couldn't take care of her anymore, so I bought pink bows & stuff. But just recently, my friend's(same friend with the yorkie) grandma was given a puppy boy maltese. I've always wanted a maltese, especially one who was a boy & he knew that so he wants to give me the maltese instead & take the yorkie with him to New York. Also, the yorkie is already used to living with him & all so I'd feel kind of bad taking her. He's willing to give me either though as he can only take care of one.

So now I'm wondering if I should get the girl yorkie, or the boy maltese. I've read about both & they are both so different. The maltese seems to fit me more though. But I heard theyre more of barkers than yorkies, which is bad since I live in an apartment. & I've heard their barks, much more irritating.

Oh my gosh....I say go for the boy maltese. Three of my friends have boy malteses and they are (I think) equally as wonderful as yorkies. My yorkie LOVES his playtime with those dogs. Yes, two of the three are barkers but not all the time just when someone comes to the door and that kind of stuff...but ask her if he is a barker....tell her to tell you all about his little personality. Have you spent much time with these dogs? How old are they?:animal36
