We Did It, We Broke The Law!!
 

Lol, some title hu, but it realy was exciting! So, I've been reading about everyones puppy bags they've gotten on here and I've been looking at them in the store for a while. I always feel so bad when hubby and I go away and Lil Miss Maggy May can't go and she has to stay home in her kennel all by her lonesome lil self. So, yesterday, hubby and I went to Walmart, the frst place we always go is to the pet section, I just wanna "loooook" lol! So I'm looking at the bags and hubby says, honey, you may as well get one, you've been looking at them for a while now and I know you'd really like to have one for Maggy. No need to tell me twice, I grabbed one off the shelf and opened it up and checked it out and yep, it was IN THE CART. Oh but I HAD to have something for her to play with in there, something that wouldn't take up much room but would keep her occupied while we were breaking the law. So, we headed to Petco and purchased a kong and some Old Mother Hubbard treats to stash inside of it. We get home, I show Maggy her new stuff and my gosh, it just isn't that exciting when you just get to "LOOK" at it, we had to USE it, ya, ya, Maggy and I couldn't stand to have to wait and break the law together. So, I told hubby, uhm, we need to head back to Walmart, I forgot, I need a baby toothbrush for Maggy, the one I had is to big for her lil mouth Leave it to a Momma and her pup to wanna break the law together and we'll find ANY excuse to find a place to go, lol. So, we got Maggy all tucked in her back, gave her the kong with treat in it and of we went. First stop, the Dollar store, she did GREAT until we got up back the checkout that is, then her tail popped out of the bag and she started wiggling it back and forth, back and forth, lol. She loves people so I knew the checkout was gonna be the big test. I put my hand over her tail and nudged hubby to look and I started giggling. Thankfully we made it out of there without getting busted. Next stop, Walmart! Oh she was doing great, she was laying in there chewing away on her lil kong, no tail sneaking out of the bag or anything. I'm bent down looking at some gardening tools and the next thing I know I hear "AWEEEEEEEEEE" I look up and there's this lil girl with her eyes dead on my bag I look down and there's Lil Miss Maggy May with her head poked out the back of the bag and she's holding her kong in her mouth and I can feel her tail hitting the inside of the bag, lol. It was all over, the girl and her Mom came over and had to pet Maggy and that was it, our secret was out then, lol. Maggy got so much huggins and lovins yesterday that it just totally zapped the energy right out of her, lol. We were successful though, we didn't get kicked out, hehehe. Then we went to a place that sells flowers, no chance of her keeping her head in the bag then, she had to stick her nose out and see investigate all those pretty smells, lol. Our first crime together, taking Maggy into the stores with us, BUT, we didn't get busted! Are we sneaky or what? LOL! Will be posting new pics in Maggy's album soon as I resize them.

ROFL!!! Oh black and white criminal pj's would be AWESOME for our adventures;-) Oh it's hard tellin who had more fun, hehehe. Can't wait to do it again. We're gonna be the biggest lil outlaws in this town, lol!

I'm gonna have to take better pics of Maggy in her bag, I had the bag sitting on my black leather chair and seeings how she's black as well, you can't see her very well, but I did add three new pics to her album today ;-) Glad you enjoyed the story of our adventure yesterday:D

Oh we did, we did, Maggy says she wants to do it again to!!;)

I have taken my lil pup in my bag with me into many stores. No way am I leaving him in the car especially if it is a hot day or if I'm going to be away from the car for awhile. With my first bag, my pup had figured out a way to stick his head out and that made me focus more on him then what I needed to get in the store. So, yes I broke down and purchased a second bag and this one, he has little mesh screens so he can peek out and smell and all that good stuff. I haven't had any trouble in WalMart or Target or even Nordstroms when I take him in. In fact, many of the employees insist on me opening the bag up so they can have a better look.

I even went to a restaurant right after he had his surgery and I really wanted to keep an eye on him and they told me to bring him in even though there wasn't room on the patio....we were inside. Even the other patrons didn't mind.:)

Of course, I don't take him in if I see....."No dogs allowed for any reason on the premises." And the only place I've seen that so far is World Market.

Has anyone been in trouble with an establishment for taking in there pup in a bag? If so, what did they say to you?:confused:

I've seen people "breaking the law" with their babies in Sam's Club. I haven't had the courage to try it yet since it is a food store. I have smuggled Daisy into Kmart though and got away with it.

So far so good with mine. I've been to Walmart and Kmart with Hot Rod just in my arms and no one has said anything. I have run into the grocery store with him in his carrier to pick medication. The clerks get so excited and want me to take him out of the carrier! I've also been to Tuesday morning and everyone loves to see him. My carrier looks like a giant purse with a window on the front and sides.:)

Isn't it neat to be able to take out furbutts in the stores with us? I don't know about others but it made me feel really good yesterday to be able to take Maggy out and about with us yesterday. I kept sayin, oh Maggy, LOOK, it's a whole new world! She'd poke her lil head up ad sniff like, oh boy, it REALLY IS Mom! Good question, has anyone ever gotten busted before and told to leave or anything?

Ohhhhhh, you're gutsy, lololol!!! Haven't tried taking her in without a bag yet, maybe when we're walkin on the wilder side I may give that a whirl, lol;)

Oh her face just lit up, it was so cute. I wonder how long she begged her Mom on the way home if she could have one? Lolol!

ROFL so hard here!! Well if ya'll don't hear from us some day for a while, you know what happened, just gather a posey and come break us out, hehehe;)

I took Zeus everywhere with us when I first got him. He went to the grocery stores, department stores, restaurants, he was sooo quiet. We even took him to the coffee shop.

He gets a little heavy after awhile now though.

Did he try and get out to see what all the good smells were when you went into a restraunt? Lol

nope not really, he was well behaved. Now augie on the other hand, he barks once in awhile, makes me nervous in the stores.

Lol, my gosh, I could imagine taking Maggy May into a restraunt, sh'e grow spring on her feet and fly outta there going, where's the beef, wherrrrres the beef?! Lol!

ROFL so hard here. Oh man, I can just picture Maggy getting out and running all through Walmart and me running like a mad woman trying to catch her and her making a huge game of it, lol. Her back has a leash on the inside of it actually though, it's just long enough for her to be able to turn around, it keeps her from hoping out of the bag;)

I was gonna get one when income tax came in but ended up getting a new camera instead so I could take nice clear pics of her, lol. Stroller is next on my list of things Maggy May needs though;)
