2.8 lbs Chorkie mix...should I get him? This little guy looks adorable, and I'm talking to the lady about purchasing him for my birthday. (She's agreed to come down on her ridiculous price). What do you think? She's assured me he's healthy but he sure is small... Teacup Angels - Adults For Sale at Teacup Chihuahuas, Shih Tzus, Yorkies & Exotics |
He sure is cute but wow what a price she has one him. I wouldn't pay anything near that. |
Not trying to be negative BUT: The add states: No bad habits whatsoever. He does have a bellyband on in the 2nd picture. Not neutered - He must mark his territory if he has a bellyband on. Just thought you might want to consider that. He is very, very overpriced also. BUT very very cute! Good Luck to you at whatever you decide. |
I definitely think he's extremely overpriced but am trying with work with her on getting the price down.... She said he goes potty outside but she keeps a belly band on him inside cause he's so small and has a small bladder. I don't expect him to be perfect. But I definitely couldn't pay anywhere near that either! |
He is a cutie. I just would be afraid of him marking. She is asking a lot of money for an older mixed breed. |

I have 1 unneutered male & 3 females. Scruffy marks his territory inside & outside. It is really bad when one of the girls are in heat! He is trained for outside & peepads when we are not home BUT he likes the kitchen table legs, anything that gets on the floor out of place like a school bag, grocery bag, etc.... |
He's adorable, but he's very overpriced. And from the name of the site, she sells "teacups". She doesn't seem to reputable to me. |

I just wanted to say I am getting a 3/4 Yorkie 1/4 Shih Tzu I am only paying $400.00 she is a female and she was asking 350.00 for her males. If I were u I would shop around alittle more. |
What a cutie pie. :):aimeeyork Let us know if you decide to get him. |
yes he's cute but don't crumble..Hate to put it like this BUT he is a "mutt". We have to stick together and not pay high dollar for mixed breeds..that is what pure breds are for. Gee, I miss the good ol' days when mutts were free..haha..She needs to come way, way down. Good luck. |
He's very cute and extremely small. That is an absolutely ridiculous price, agreed. Why is she charging so much for a MIX? IMO, people sell these dogs as "designer breed" b ut really aren't they the perfect definition of a MUTT? Not to offend you, I love all dogs, I have a mutt myself, that is gorgeous and perfect...but I just think all these "chorkie" "porkie" "dorkie" whatever, it's out of hand. |
Personally, I won't spend that much, or even half of that on a mix breed... There are plenty of full blooded dogs that are about the same size full grown and cost less... But it's your prerogative.... I met the sister of that breeder one time. She came into the store I work at to buy him little clothes... (he was about 2.5 lbs at that time) Do what everyou want! Don't let people talk you out of buying a baby you really want if he's healthy and you trust the breeder... :) |
I'd pass. She's got 100% pure yorkies on there for less then him with papers. tyty |

This sounds exactly like a BOB. If this "only" two year old intac male is so perfect, why is she selling him and not studing him? When a male has been used for stud, they WILL mark up your home. I think your ready to be burned if you get him. There are many, many nice baby Yorkies for sale that are a lot less expensive and with health guarantee's. |
wow hes older too not a pup at all. and a mix. i wonder why she thought it was appropriate to charge such an insane about of money. |
She is charging way too much for a mixed breed, and I don't like how she advertises "teacups". He really is a cutie, but I just don't understand why he is so highly priced. She has pure yorkies for cheaper than that, which doesn't make any sense. Sounds like she is into the "designer" breeds. Good luck with whatever you decide. |

I feel like she thinks she can charge this much for him bc he is so small and he is full grown so you know he will stay that small. And so many people out there are seeking out tiny dogs that will stay super tiny. |
Banjo is a chorkie- he is a bigger boy, and I got him at 9 wks- he was 1.8lbs then. But He was cheap- That is high for ahybrid breed. Did she say why she is selling him, since he is older?? I will say Banjo is the sweetst pup, loves everyone- every animal he sees! He has been pretty easy to potty train! I wouldn't take $10,000 for him though! and I have never heard anyone say, they did like their chorkie!! I think he is a doll- and it is your choice! I'd try and get her to lower the price! Good luck! |
i think hes precious and im into the "designer breeds" lol but that price is just absurd! now my stud males dont mark but if im potty training i use belly bands ps i would look around there are some around here from time to time for under 500 |

WOW! That's waaayyy too much money! "No bad habits whatsoever..." I'm sorry, but to say something so matter-of-factly yet have a photo of him in a belly band... she's a lier. My Epsilon is very tiny (around 3 lbs, haven't weighed him in awhile) and he has no accidents despite his small bladder. I even live in an apartment, so he only get's to go outside when I take him outside. Being little is no excuse for accidents... he's either potty trained, or he's not. |
Sometimes we think with our hearts and not our heads, but that is what makes life wonderful and worth living!:) I have done some really dumb things in my day so I cannot pass judgment but here are some things to think about. I don't know if you saw the Oprah show but there are so many darling babies that are in need of homes. So many are mixed breeds and are put down because there are simply not enough homes for them. I personally think of you are going to breed why not put all of that time/money and effort into bettering a breed. I am not saying mixed breeds are not lovable and not good pets but simply why create more when we have so many homeless babies out there. To intentionally breed mixed breed dogs does not make sense? If you really love this little guy then get him and don't let anyone stand in your way but her asking that kind of money is just wrong. If she really wants him to have a good home then she will work with you on the money and you will know what kind of breeder she is. I just got my little Paxton from Glenda Beavers Home. He was born on October 28, 2007 and was 4 1/2 months when I got him...he will be six months on the 28th....He is hiking everywhere and has been since the day I got him. We have been dealing with some major diarreah issues and have not been able to get him fixed but I have to take care of this pronto. Hopefully it is not too late! Thank the goodness we have tile/hardwood and some carpet but he seems to like the tile! I love Paxton with my whole heart and soul and will deal with his potty issues till death to us part. Unfortunately I am a clean freak and dog urine stinks and especially on walls and furniture! This little guy may be too old and not trainable so you just have to be willing to love him no matter what! She is selling him for some reason or else she would be keeping him? Ok I will be quite now...good luck no matter what you decide! |
$2500 for a 2 year old mixed breed!!:eek::eek::eek: From a breeder who uses the T word! Run!! |
He is really cute, i mean just adorable! But i wouldn't...just the site alone looks bad. The words she uses, all the breeds, mixes, etc |
high price. Whenever I see an adv. selling an adult dog with a high price, I am so cheered up because the seller can't sell the dog. They keep the dogs for money and this is a sin for me, let the seller keep their adult dog for the whole life, I am sure and certain that the adult dog wishes strongly to stay with the same master for the whole life. Could we ever find a dog seller who tries to find a good home for the dog? Of course, some work for money absolutely but it doesn't mean to be selfish at all only thinking of money that makes people dirty and disgusting. |

He's very adorable but WAYYYYY to high of a price in my opinion. Good luck in whatever you decide. |
OOPS~EE~DAISY!!! She "accidently" put a #2 in front of that $500 price, right?!?! ;) I had to joke a lil cuz it's quite apparent not a single person thinks ANYTHING in that ad could be worth charging that much! But you seem maybe still swayed towards that precious baby.....so is there anyway you can go visit Gizmo and spend a little time observing him? If she says no or doesnt want to do it in her home where you can see him in his normal environment, then Id RUN, cuz it really feels like she's hiding something! And if you dont live close, or have even told her you dont live close, maybe test her. Tell her you have a friend that lives close and can she come look. Maybe seeing for yourself might make you still ok with spending that kind of money. I mean, if it wont break you, its your choice. But if it will, I guarantee you will be back on here soon telling us of a better baby and better price if you keep looking elsewhere!! Whatever you decide, even though we all have a bad vibe, I sure hope you know everyone here will support you and love to hear future stories. Cuz I dont think any replies here have judged you at all. We all question the breeder!! Best of luck in your decision ok!! ;) |
