Who Has A Stroller And When Do You Use It?? My family makes fun of me, but I want a pink stroller. I'm just not sure what benefits it would provide, and since they are expensive I'm still just looking at them. What is your experience, can you take them into restaurants, grocery stores, etc.??? Thanks for your input. |
I like using it mostly at the Vets. Their feet don't touch the ground, I don't have to carry them and my hands are free to take care of the paperwork. |
We have the pink stroller by Pet Gear. We used it at the Yorkiefair in Michigan last year and strolling around downtown Ann Arbor, it came in handy at the farmer's market! We also used it in the Christmas reindog parade in Cincinnati. We haven't used it a whole lot otherwise, we figured it would be good in large crowd situations! |
I have one, I probably used it twice. When I bought it my husband criticized me for getting it because "your supposed to walk them, not push them". I used it at a picnic in the beach and it helped allot but it was kinda annoying because they wouldn't keep still. They would just complain because they are stuck inside it. I think I'm better off with an xpen for those situations, but I'm still looking at getting one. I highly doubt that you can take them inside the restaurant or grocery stores because of hygiene issues, not because people can't see them. |
Most people are oblivious and don't notice them in stores, but I wouldn't attempt a restaurant or grocery store because the second I stop pushing they yip or scratch to get out. It's obvious I don't have a baby in there! I have only used mine a couple times. It is useful at a crowded parade/fair or when I'm going to have them out for a long time and need all of their stuff. Loki is too big to carry far in a bag so if I'm out with both of them, I take it and sometimes use it. If it's just Sammy, I put her in her bag. I also used it when Sammy had surgery and couldn't walk far so I pushed her while Loki walked. My dogs would truly rather walk. I have a Pet Gear special edition. |
I have a stroller for Murfee. I have only used it once but I LOVE it. I think when we start traveling again I will use it more and I KNOW I will use it in KC. |

Hehe....my husband says the very same thing! I dont have one, but have looked at them at the pet store. If I brought one home I think my hubby would leave me! |
I have the burberry plaid one and I love it! I do go to a lot of dog events, flea markets, public places with my Cricket. She behaves and does not yip, so I take her to a lot of other places where dogs are not usually allowed. People assume it is a baby if you have the front covered, lol. I use mine all the time, and would not be without it. I got it on eBay for about $60.00 which included the shipping. Look for "ylow plaid pet stroller" if you want the burberry look. I just got mine, it's the Jeep Wrangler! I like it a lot! I wanted a pink one also but knew my bf prob. wouldn't push it so mine is sand colored. It pushes very easily and light weight. I haven't taken them out in it yet, but I think this week i will. |

We also have the pink Pet Gear one. We used it yesterday actually in the mall shopping for a formal dress. I put Layla in there and cover the front with a blanket (like mom's do with new borns) and no one had a clue... she was good as gold. I didn't go in the food court with her because i won't take her anywhere they serve food. We have also used it shopping while we were in michigan. That is the reason we bought it. When we go away at Christmas we shop a lot and it was too much carrying Layla in her bag (VERY hard on the shoulders!). |
I mainly use mine when I go to those doggie shows or petfest so i can browse without having to worry about her running away or something . . or the park . . .where it is always safer for her to be in especially if there are way too many people . . .:) I think it is worth the investment. |
I use mine when I walk @ night we live in the country and would never let them walk on a leash but this way they get to go and I don't have to worry about them. |
